Nike ACG Watercat+ Appears With a Clean Black and Orange Palette

Nike and its ACG models are typically designed for folks that enjoy exploring the great outdoors. Trail runners and lifestyle silhouettes are the sub-label’s bread and butter, but in 2006, it dabbled into the aquatic fashion scene and introduced a water-ready offering titled the Nike ACG Watercat+. The silhouette is returning to the market with a modernized build and aesthetic, and one of the iterations that is expected to launch is this striking black and orange colorway that’s pictured in the gallery above. The top half of the kicks is anchored by intricately-woven cords that take on a two-toned color scheme and start at the toe tips and run the length of the base. Bereft of any layers underneath, the kicks are super breathable and are primed to be comfortable in hot weather conditions on the street or submerged underwater. A toggled lace system arrives on the throat so wearers can have easy access in and out of the kicks, and the heels are backed by a rubber heel counter. Offsetting its palette is an angelic midsole that is adorned with stealthy ACG branding towards the lateral rear as well as a two-toned outsole that splits between black and baby blue hues.Nike and other retailers are expected to roll these out in the coming months for $125 a pop.Elsewhere in sneakers, the Nike Ja 1 “Midnight” with Swarovski crystals has been unveiled.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
