The subject of Social Status’ latest collaboration with Nike, Penny Hardaway’s second signature sneaker continues its return as Nike prepares additional colorways for the ’90s classic.This time around, Nike has put together a fall-ready color scheme for the Air Penny 2 as it prepares to launch into the season. First, a forest green leather overlay sees itself wrap from the toe to heel. Above this, a black nubuck layer surrounds the lacing system with hits of burgundy scattered throughout, including at the tongue. The sneaker’s pull tabs utilize another dark green shade, going with the green sockliner while the Air Penny 2’s signature wavy midsole appears in white. Air technology is visible at the heel while a black rubber outsole completes this pair’s detailing.Nike has yet to share any release information regarding this colorway of the Air Penny 2. Official Look at the Nike Dunk High “Lunar New Year”
Nike continues to prepare its 2023 lineup of sneakers with plenty to look forward to. Recent highlights include an array of Jordan Brand releases and sneakers such as the newly revealed Fly Streetwear x Nike SB Dunk Low. Now, following a first look and on-foot shots, Nike has officially revealed a celebratory “Lunar New Year” colorway of the Dunk High.To recap its detailing, a “Summit White” leather outfits the base of the sneaker while “Light Bone” suede overlays add to the upper’s look. Taupe hits the shaggy suede Swooshes while thematic detailing arrives at the tongue and lateral heel, featuring a golden mountain graphic that references San Francisco from the gold rush era. Hints of green appear at the heel tab, trim and sockliner while a white midsole rests atop an icy translucent outsole to complete this colorway.Currently, release information for the Nike Dunk High “Lunar New Year” is limited. First Look at the Fly Streetwear x Nike SB Dunk Low
2022 marks yet another successful year for Nike and its many Dunk variants. With another year of countless colorways, collaborations and silhouette remixes almost complete, first looks at what’s in store for 2023 have started to pop up. To the surprise of no one, the Dunk looks to remain a go-to for the Swoosh in its upcoming release plans. Most recently, a collaboration with Chinese skate shop Fly Streetwear has popped up in partnership with the Nike SB team on the SB Dunk Low.Looking closer at this collaborative pair via early in-hand shots, the duo has put its own unique twist on the classic. First, a gray leather base at the upper is joined by blue suede overlays and a lime green shaggy suede heel tab. Its rope laces resemble actual ropes in off-white, matching the sneaker’s distinctive Swooshes. At the medial Swoosh, its typical shape can be found while the lateral mimics the look of a feather, going with the lateral heel’s embroidered stamp.
