Patta and New Balance have walked hand-in-hand since 2020, inaugurating its substantial partnership with a collaborative 920 sneaker encrusted in earthy hues. The following year presented the duo in a sleek light, debuting the 991 silhouette with striking terracotta uppers, soft teal mesh underlays and tan leather trimmings. 2022 marks the pairing’s third year together, and with the anniversary comes a fresh footwear delivery grounded in family values. Inspired by generational households and the power of togetherness, New Balance and Patta pay tribute to the whole clan, from youngest to oldest and anyone in between. Standing on the motto “Keep Your Family Close,” the Amsterdam-based multifaceted imprint introduces the New Balance 990v3 crafted for every family member. Supple olive nubuck envelops the uppers, paving the way for sandy mesh underpinnings that decorate the toe boxes and peek through cutouts at the medials and ankle areas. Lively volt green leather accents supply the offering with vibrant energy, while minimalistic metallic branding is seen throughout. Silver N insignia at the quarters don subtle pigmented borders, matching harmoniously with heel patches decorated with elegant Patta initials. Luminous tongues and heel tabs see Made in USA lettering, while delicate markings hit the heel counters in a muted fashion. Split ENCAP midsoles are adorned with grey speckled detailing, complete with black rubber outsoles. An inclusive apparel collection will release alongside the sneaker, featuring crewnecks, sweatpants and T-shirts delivered in full family sizing. Dispatched in a bold green palette, co-branded emblems adorn every garment alongside the collection byline and a family tree illustration. The Patta x New Balance 990v3 and apparel collection will launch exclusively via Patta in-store and online on September 30. A global release via New Balance and select retailers is set to take place on October 7. Sneaker prices range from $70 USD for kids and $220 USD for adults.
