First Look at the Nike Dunk Low “Dark Driftwood”

In the ever-expanding universe of Nike Dunk Low’s, there seems to be a new iteration every week. The latest entry, however, is definitely one you shouldn’t overlook.Following the highly desired “Vast Grey” iteration, the Swoosh dresses the Dunk Low in a stylish “Dark Driftwood” palette. Reverting back to the sneaker’s traditional leather upper, the shoe consists of dark driftwood overlays complemented by sesame and sail on the base and nylon tongue. The brown hues get an added punch through hits of black found on the branding, Swoosh and outsole. Not the flashiest of Dunk Low’s, the “Dark Driftwood” colorway provides a reserved but supremely rockable look that is primed to be a fall classic. The sneaker will be available at Nike and select retailers for $110 USD in the coming months. In the meantime, keep up with all upcoming Nike releases by downloading the SNKRS app. For more on footwear, Nike has added a second USA-inspired Air Griffey Max 1.

PUMA Digs Deep to Re-Release the Weekend OG

Need weekend kicks that are durable, timeless and affordable? Look no further than the PUMA Weekend OG. Puns aside, the sneaker is a no-frills throw-on pair that will surely complement your lineup.Similar to the legendary Clyde silhouette, the lesser appreciated Weekend OG is stripped of the Formstripe for a minimalist look, but retains an all-suede upper that is dressed in a chocolate brown colorway and gold branding at the base. Just beneath, PUMA kept matters fittingly retro with a textured crepe-styled rubber cup sole to add grip, flare and comfortability.Originally released back in the 1970s, the shoe was designed by Rudolf Dassler’s son as a way to first break into the French market. The PUMA Weekend OG “Chocolate Brown” is available to purchase for an average price of about $100 USD at select retailers, such as Hanon.Elsewhere, Nike added a second USA-inspired Air Griffey Max 1.

Nike Adds a Second USA-Inspired Air Griffey Max 1

In anticipation of the Fourth of July, Nike recently brought back the Air Griffey Max 1 in a USA-themed colorway. The sneaker prominently featured a slew of “Old Royal” and “Gym Red” hits across the white-based leather upper. As an added iteration, the Swoosh is set to release another USA-inspired Air Griffey Max 1 which flips the previous silhouette’s color scheme. The most noticeable features on the upcoming drop are the all-black overlays found on the nubuck mudguards and rubber outsole, along with a punchy red leather base, complemented by navy blue accents across the velcro strap, tongue pull tab and eyelets.First debuted in 1996, Ken Griffey Jr.’s signature shoe was first intended for performance use — as were virtually all sneakers at the time — but the Air Griffey Max 1 steadily gained a reputation amongst sneakerheads for its chunky silhouette, velcro enclosure and range of different colorways. As with the classics, the upcoming Air Griffey Max 1 will don the player’s number 24 on the strap to complete the look. The shoe doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will be available to purchase for $170 USD sometime later this year at Nike.
