In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Salomon has constructed a new special edition XT-6 Expanse — paying homage to the beloved Adventure 7 sneaker. Lately, the technical sports gear brand has been conquering more than just the trails as its silhouettes can be seen on pavements within urban settings, but Salomon would still like to remind everyone of its hiking origins.Aside from the XT-4, XT-Wings 2 and ACS Pro Advanced, the XT-6 has been a long fan favorite and is now seen embodying the Adventure 7 heritage colorway born in 1992. A duo of Golden Oak and Forest Green hues make for the heavy-duty canvas base and is fixed together with Acorn Brown suede overlays and black accents found throughout the design from top to bottom. The Fast-Lacing system is swapped out with retro laces paired with Sensifit tech and Endofit sock-like liner for full comfort and security. First teased on the feet of Team USA athletes at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics in an exclusive Zoom Gaiadome FlyEase model, Nike previously announced that the eye-catching winter boots would never see a public release. However, as we approach the end of summer, the sportswear giant’s ACG performance division now reveals a similar Zoom Gaiadome GORE-TEX iteration complete with a similar robust form factor and season-specific details.Arriving in white, black, and brown colorways, the upcoming high-top boots feature a GORE-TEX coated mesh base with patterned exterior padding on the collars and a Trail Frame cage supporting the heel. Metal hook eyelets and speckled rope laces add to the heavy-duty off-trail look while reflective details are incorporated across the lateral strips, “acg” heel branding, and nylon pull tabs. Arguably the most legendary women’s tennis player to ever touch the court confirmed that she will be hanging it up after the U.S Open, and to celebrate her remaining days as a professional athlete, Nike is expanding her footwear line with a brand new Air Force 1 LXX Zip “Lapis” colorway that has just been officially revealed. This iteration serves as a follow-up to her “Summit White” variation that released earlier in 2022.Premium leather is still called upon to form its upper build, but unlike the first release, this forthcoming installment is debossed with tonal floral patterns that wrap around the side panels, heels and the throat. Double-stacked embroidered Swooshes are kept consistent, and the zippers provide extra contrast thanks to their luxe golden finishes. Tongues are designed with tabs that feature SWDC’s signature “10 4 01” logo while the heels trade out the usual Nike branding for her signature.
