ASICS UB5-S GEL-Nimbus 9 Surfaces in “Glacier Grey”

Originally released in 2007 as a neutral running shoe, the GEL-NIMBUS™ 9 returns once again this year with futuristic outdoor details courtesy of Kiko Kostadinov Studio. After introducing the UB3-S GEL-NIMBUS™ 9 for Season 3, ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov now reconnect for an updated UB5-S silhouette. In addition to the “Black/Gunmetal” colorway which was revealed earlier this month, the ASICS UB5-S GEL-Nimbus 9 has now been revealed in a lighter “Glacier Grey/Soothing Sea” makeup. While maintaining the silhouette of a running shoe, Kostadindov adds rugged outdoor trail details and eye-catching splashes of color. Line detail elements from the GEL-TRAIL ATTACK are incorporated onto the lace-like mesh uppers, edges of the leather overlays arrive in red spraypaint details, and futuristic “galaxy matter” inserts are found on the heel windows. Rounding out the design are shock-absorbing GEL midsoles and a liquid-gradient midfoot plate.Take a closer look at the ASICS UB5-S GEL-Nimbus 9 “Glacier Grey” above and find the pairs available now via ASICS for $250 AUD (approximately $173 USD).Elsewhere in footwear, Air Jordan 1 Mid receives a fall-friendly “Tartan” makeover.

Pharrell Spotted in a New adidas NMD S1 Silhouette

Newer innovations from adidas tend to attract more attention from the sneaker community nowadays, especially when it comes to the brand’s lifestyle category. One series that has gradually broadened its output has been the NMD S1, and it looks as though another variant is in the works as Pharrell was recently spotted rocking an upcoming model at the Billionaire Boys Club x New York Yankees launch.Base on this early look, it appears that the original shape is being retained, but the upper is designed with a more sleek aesthetic. Knitted uppers are bereft of any Three Stripes branding on the quarter panels and instead come embellished with oversized Humanrace lettering that spans nearly the entire lateral wall. This particular iteration comes fitted with lighter beige knitted uppers and laces and comes contrasted by a bold blue hue that lands on the heel counters and rear ends of the sole pieces. Side angles of the shoes reveal its toothy treading that likely is formed with repetitive Trefoil logos like its predecessors.More information surrounding this new offering will likely pop up in the coming months. For other sneaker-related news, detailed shots of the adidas adiFOM Q have appeared.

TITAN x Nike LeBron 19 Low “Beyond The Seas” Draws from the Fabled Ultramar Creature

Basketball is more than just a sport to the people of the Philippines, it’s a way of life. And one retailer that’s constantly and outwardly expressing Southeast Asian nation’s love for the sport is TITAN which has been fortunate enough to join forces with the likes of Jordan Brand and Nike on several special projects. This year, the brand is reuniting with the latter for a new Nike LeBron 19 Low “Beyond the Seas” team-up which has just been officially unveiled. This marks the third occasion that the Manila-based has teamed up with the Swoosh for a joint venture, and this time around the inspiration draws from the mythical creature Ultramar. It’s representative of universal love for hoops and the idea that that is shared with plenty across the globe. The kicks are designed with a regal motif as the knitted base layer along with the toe boxes and heel counters are lent a white finish while gilded accents dress up the midsole Swooshes and lion head hang tags. The forefoots of each midsole split between two quotes from the King himself about his affinity towards the Philippines. The right foot states, “The passion for basketball in the Philippines is incredible” in blue font while the left prints out “I look forward to returning to Manila again” in red text. You can expect these hardwood-ready sneakers to release on September 8. View this post on Instagram A post shared by TITAN (@titan_22)In case you missed it, a TITAN x Air Jordan 2 Low collaboration is on the way as well.
