Early Look at the N.HOOLYWOOD x INVINCIBLE x New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX “Navy”
We still have the last few weeks of Summer and Fall to get through, but before you know it the colder and wetter seasons are going to be here. It’s never too early to have a protective pair of sneakers on deck, and thankfully N.HOOLYWOOD, INVINCIBLE and New Balance are reconnecting this year to produce a GORE-TEX-lined 2002R. This forthcoming colorway serves as a follow-up to the military-inspired installment that the trio ushered in Fall 2020.Various shades of navy are dispersed to the panels of the upper. Mesh underlays skew to the more navy-purple side of the spectrum while the quarter panel overlays and toe tips go for a more dusted navy and the shaggy suedes that are shanked on the mudguards, quarters and heels arrive with a more saturated blue. To echo its defensive mentality, GORE-TEX branding is found by way of branded tabs on the collars as well as embroidered text hits on the lateral toe. Tongues come embellished with descriptive banners and the insoles feature branding from all three parties. No release info has been announced just yet, but it’s likely that these will see an official rollout in the coming months. In other news, more 2002R Mule colorways have been uncovered.
