While fans await the highly-anticipated Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago Reimagined,” the Swoosh’s key subsidiary has revisited its “Inside Out” theme with the Air Jordan 1 Low and Air Jordan 1 Mid.Teased previously, we now have an official look at the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Inside Out” alongside its matching Air Jordan 1 Low counterpart. Following up on a primarily white colorway from earlier this year, these pairs favor a darker look. Both utilize a mix of leather and suede on its uppers with the Low sticking to dark grays and black while the Mid introduces some light gray accents to contrast the look. Jordan Brand Adds the Jordan Zion 2 to Its Celebration of 25 Years in China
It has certainly been a celebratory year for Nike. Between the 50th anniversary of the Swoosh, 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1 and 25th year of business in China for Jordan Brand, the sportswear titan has commemorated these milestones with various thematic launches. Following up on 2017’s celebration of 20 years in China, Jordan Brand has announced a “25 Years in China” capsule for 2022. Earlier this month, an Air Jordan 12 Low surfaced and now Zion Williamson’s newest signature shoe, the Jordan Zion 2, is joining the collection.This “25 Years in China” colorway of the Jordan Zion 2 utilizes a black and white color palette with thematic detailing. The white base features black overlays including on the signature forefoot strap. Similar to the Air Jordan 12 Low “25 Years in China,” the black overlays carry iridescent patterning while the heel and tongue favor silver accents for its branding. The all-black sole unit holds Zoom Air technology and emphasizes cushioning at the heel for hard landings, ensuring this look is court-ready.A release date for the Jordan Zion 2 “25 Years in China” has not yet been announced. However, Jordan Brand is expected to launch it and the other “25 Years in China” sneakers later this year via Nike and select retailers.Elsewhere in the world of footwear, a “Gorge Green” treatment is coming to the Air Jordan 1 High OG this November.
Nike Gives the Dunk High 1985 a “Blue Denim” Makeover
Nike has continued to tap into the all-time high demand for the Dunk with various reworks of the Dunk High and Dunk Low. However, the Dunk High 1985 has remained a less visited option in the Dunk family. Earlier this year, Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER approached the silhouette with its “Chaos/Balance” theme hitting two colorways. Since then, a “Pink Denim” has surfaced that complements this upcoming “Blue Denim” look.Similar to the previously revealed “Pink Denim,” a white leather base returns alongside a vintage cream midsole. A light blue denim hits the overlays with darker blue contrast stitching. This continues at the Swooshes while the outsole carries a similar shade of light blue, completing the look.A release date for the Nike Dunk High 1985 “Blue Denim” has not yet been shared. However, the pair is expected to be available via Nike and select retailers at a price of $130 USD soon, likely alongside the matching “Pink Denim” colorway.In other footwear news, the Swoosh continues to tap into the University of North Carolina’s iconic white and blue with a new Air Max Terrascape Plus on the way.
