It has certainly been a celebratory year for Nike. Between the 50th anniversary of the Swoosh, 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1 and 25th year of business in China for Jordan Brand, the sportswear titan has commemorated these milestones with various thematic launches. Following up on 2017’s celebration of 20 years in China, Jordan Brand has announced a “25 Years in China” capsule for 2022. Earlier this month, an Air Jordan 12 Low surfaced and now Zion Williamson’s newest signature shoe, the Jordan Zion 2, is joining the collection. This “25 Years in China” colorway of the Jordan Zion 2 utilizes a black and white color palette with thematic detailing. The white base features black overlays including on the signature forefoot strap. Similar to the Air Jordan 12 Low “25 Years in China,” the black overlays carry iridescent patterning while the heel and tongue favor silver accents for its branding. The all-black sole unit holds Zoom Air technology and emphasizes cushioning at the heel for hard landings, ensuring this look is court-ready.A release date for the Jordan Zion 2 “25 Years in China” has not yet been announced. However, Jordan Brand is expected to launch it and the other “25 Years in China” sneakers later this year via Nike and select retailers.Elsewhere in the world of footwear, a “Gorge Green” treatment is coming to the Air Jordan 1 High OG this November.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
