ASICS Mixes the Shades of Green on This New TARTHER BLAST Colorway

ASICS is home to many a lifestyle running silhouette as is, but in 2021 it grew its family with the debut of the ASICS TARTHER BLAST. Since its inception at the beginning of the year, the model has been released in a bevy of new GR colorways, and now it’s added this new “Smoke Grey/French Blue” iteration to its repertoire.A healthy blend of neutral tones and vivid accents get dropped off on this installment. The base layer is manufactured with a ripstop base that is dialed to a lighter beige hue, and this matches up with the throat overlays, tongues and lower heel overlays. Shaggy suede materials are present atop the heels and around the toe boxes, both of which are injected with a leaf-like green. Muted shades of green also appear on the upper’s synthetic overlays while the tiger stripes and heel’s ASICS logos contrast with a darker “French Blue.” Interior liners contrast with “Smoke Grey” interiors to round off the top portion. FLYTEFOAM cushioning is stuffed inside the all-white midsoles for premium comfort and responsiveness. If interested, ASICS has these available to buy right now for £100 (approx $132 USD).For more sneaker news, ASICS just dropped a duo of new NOVABLAST colorways.

First Look at the Air Jordan 6 Low “Chinese New Year”

Every year, Nike and Jordan Brand will typically pay its respects to Chinese culture and heritage with the release of Chinese New Year-themed footwear. The celebrations are arriving in just a few months time, and we’re already getting a glimpse into what the Jumpman family has up its sleeves for the Year of the Tiger festivities. On deck is this luxe Air Jordan 6 Low “Chinese New Year” colorway that has just surfaced. This impending installment essentially takes the classic AJ 6 “GMP” palette from the 2021 London Games and utilizes it in on its low-cut model. Smooth leather uppers are given a bright white complexion, while shiny silver accents coat the throat overlays and gilded finishes apply to the Jumpman logos on the throat and heels, as well as the trimming on the heel counters. Milky skins are also distributed to the tongues and spoilers for added flair. You’ll find more golden hits see their way to the midsole molds and oversized Jumpman insignias on the outsoles, and a majority of the bottoms is designed with a traditional icy mold.A release date has not been confirmed by Nike yet, but you can likely anticipate these to launch ahead of the February 2022 holiday. In other footwear news, Familia’s Nike Dunk Low Pro SB “First Ave” is closing out 2021.

Familia’s Nike Dunk Low Pro SB “First Ave” Closes Out This Year’s Dunk Releases

Familia’s highly anticipated Nike Dunk Low Pro SB “First Ave” has officially received a release date. The Minneapolis-based skate shop’s new release will be the final Nike Dunk to be released in 2021, closing out a massively popular year for the silhouette. The pairs were first teased in June earlier this year but were rumored to have received a cease and desist order for reasons that are still unknown. The upcoming pairs pay homage to the legendary First Avenue nightclub in Minneapolis, a concert hall that recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The venue is a cornerstone of music culture in the city and was most notably the setting for the final scene of Purple Rain. It was said Prince performed at First Avenue so often, that many of his fans thought he owned the club. The black nubuck uppers reference the star-spangled cinderblock exterior of the nightclub featuring star perforations on the toebox, brick detailing on the dark purple collar overlays, and a large star embroidered on the lateral heel. The toe and eyestay overlays are dressed in reflective dark purple leathers with wear-away paint highlights, and laces come in bright purple. The interiors of the shoe are lined in velvet materials, and insoles feature Familia x Nike SB co-branding on the zoom-air insole heel and a 50th-anniversary vintage-style ticket stub graphic on the midfoot. Below, a black midsole and a semi-translucent outsole displaying all-over graphics of the famous stars complete the upcoming pairs. The Familia x Nike Dunk Low Pro SB “First Ave” will officially release on December 11 at select skate shops.
