Nike’s Air Max 96 II “Mystic Teal” is Releasing in Retro Form

An abundance of retro offerings from Nike have been pouring out to the public since the start of the new year, and in terms of late 90s runners, the Air Max 96 II is one model that has been gaining some steam. Proceeding along with its 25th year anniversary, the silhouette has now unveiled official imagery of its “Mystic Teal” reissue. Most of the upper half here is presented with neutral tones, a crisp white being the most prevalent as it drips over the underlying mesh materials as well as the overlays sandwich the quarter panel. Titular accents disperse to the both the big and tiny Swooshes that are positioned on the mid-foot and heels, along with the lower throat banner, interior lining and Air Max branding on the tongues. Elsewhere on the base layer, a stark black cascades over the leather mudguards, interior liners, heel overlays and side stripes. The newly shrunken down Air units inside the midsole are treated with more “Mystic Teal” hits, and come housed inside an angelic midsole. Outsoles are mostly covered with a more black, and feature more teal and white accents planted towards the middle. No official release information is known at this time, but you can expect Nike to likely drop these in the coming months for $160 USD.For more sneaker news, check out a look at the Familia x First Avenue x Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration.

The A Ma Maniére Air Jordan 3 Is Releasing in Toddler and Preschool Sizes

A Ma Maniére’s Air Jordan 3 “Raised by Women” has been one of the year’s most well-received Air Jordans to date — and now it’s set to conclude its rollout by releasing in toddler and preschool sizes. Accompanying the rollout of the pint-sized sneakers is A Ma Maniére and Jordan Brand’s full apparel collection, plus a limited restock of adult-sized pairs.Though the Air unit from the adult pairs doesn’t make its way to the children’s pairs, everything else does: the shrunk-down sneakers feature the same elevated color scheme with mauve, tan, white and gray hits, special tongue branding and a premium satin tongue liner as their larger counterparts do. Adult sized apparel is unisex, with key pieces including co-branded satin jackets and cargo pants done up in black and dark gray. There’s also athletic shorts with a jacquard lining that makes use of A Ma Maniére’s “A” monogram, plus short and long sleeve T-shirts in cream, gray and mauve. Look for the A Ma Maniére Air Jordan 3 in toddler and preschool sizes to release alongside the adult-sized apparel and limited run of adult-sized sneakers on the A Ma Maniére webstore come June 10. Toddler pairs are priced at $70 USD, preschool pairs at $90 USD and adult pairs at $200 USD. Apparel pricing information will be made available upon launch. Concepts’ ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Otoro” and “Four Days” Collection Pays Homage to Japanese Tuna and Restaurant Culture

Storytelling tends to be a major component of the collaborative projects from the Concepts team. After delving into Egyptian archaeology for a joint project with Kyrie Irving, the retailer is now paying respects to Japanese tuna, restaurant culture and the Michelin Guide with its latest ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Otoro” and “Four Days” apparel collection. The footwear piece in this new assemblage is symbolic of the Bluefin Tuna and its highly acclaimed belly fat also called “Otoro”. To best translate its elevated allure, Concepts reimagines the classic ASICS runner by applying buttery pigskin suede to the upper and executing it in a range of various shades of pink to call out the delectable fish item. The reflective 3M hits that border the tiger stripes and come planted on to the forefoot reference sushi tools such as knives while the wasabi serves as the inspiration for its extra set of green laces. A “Concepts” logo is also debossed into the lateral heel areas, and the insoles are decorated with actual imagery of the scaly ocean animal.“Our relationship with ASICS has allowed some of our most unique storylines. With “Otoro”, we’re able to relay an amazing story and do so with utmost attention to material and execution,” says Deon Point, Concepts’ Creative Director.Accompanying the kicks is a “Four Days” range of cozy hoodies, crewnecks, shorts, sweatpants, socks and tees. Color schemes and graphics of the pieces speak restaurant-related elements such as the Michelin Guide, wasabi and other sushi practices such as “Shibi” — the action of curing fish in soy sauce. The Concepts x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Otoro” & “Four Days” capsule drops on June 11th at 11am via Concepts and via Concepts Boston, Concepts NYC and Concepts Dubai. In case you missed it, ASICS recently unveiled its new NOVABLAST 2 runner.
