Nike’s Air More Uptempo Takes Off In “Sky Blue”

Nike’s Air More Uptempo has been given a fresh “Sky Blue” makeover. This iteration of the classic basketball shoe features a handful of light blue palettes similar to the look of some OG colorways. The shoe’s uppers are decorated with a blue gradient that starts at the heel and fades to white towards the forefoot. “Psychic Blue” appears at the heel, covering the big “A” letter of the shoe’s “AIR” logo as well as the heel of the midsole. At the midsection is a faint blue shade covering the letter “I,” while the “R” at the forefoot remains tonal in white. Other details like the embroidered Swoosh at the toecap and a full-length Air sole unit round off the crisp colorway.Nike’s Air More Uptempo “Sky Blue” will be available on May 1 on Nike’s website for $170 USD.In case you missed it, here’s a look at Nike’s Air Force 1 High “Racer Blue.”

The Internet is Convinced That New Balance’s 57/40 Contains Hidden Swooshes

New Balance’s lifestyle-centric 57/40 silhouette is making headlines in the footwear world as of late, but it’s probably not for the reason you think. As the user Cesar Valdes points out, the modern take on the 574 sees what appears to be mini “Swooshes” at the sides of the toebox. It is even more noticeable when the suede mudguard is layered with a white leather panel underneath — this is most apparent in the Red, Yellow and blue M5740GD colorway. While this is most likely just pure coincide given the angle of the photos, the online reactions have been quite entertaining. What do you think? Do you see the Swoosh or is it too much of a reach? The YEEZY DSRT BT in “Oil” and “Rock” Is Restocking

Remember a time when YEEZY releases were few and far between, and if a restock were to happen quantities would be limited? That was quite some time ago, as in 2020 and 2021 it seems that a new YEEZY is coming out almost once a week. Now, as we step into the warmer months, the adidas Originals and Kanye West-helmed label is bringing back one of its most beloved pairs: the DSRT BT (formally Desert Boot) in both the original “Oil” and “Rock” colorways. The DSRT BT hasn’t appeared in these two colorways since their release way back in September 2019, which appeared alongside the “Salt” colorway too. These tones are some of ‘Ye’s favorites, and work perfectly with the elevated military undertones that run through the boot’s design. For those who may have forgotten, the DSRT BT is one of the most premium YEEZYs to date. Suede and nubuck encompass the upper panels and add structure, while padded mesh elements are found all around for ventilation — they are dropping in the summer to fall period, after all.Technical elements come in the form of a 3M stripe running along the length of the tongue, which is then covered in a set of rope laces that add to the military look. Dual branding appears inside, while adidas’ logo graces the underside of the chunky sole unit.Unfortunately, we can’t suggest getting too excited for the release just yet. The YEEZY DSRT BT in “Rock” is slated for an August 31 release date, while you’ll have to wait until October 31 for the “Oil” colorway. Both are to retail for £170 GBP (approx. $235 USD) on adidas’ website. For some shoes you can get your hands on sooner, here are this week’s biggest footwear drops.
