A Nike Air Zoom Type Has Emerged With Varying Removable Heel Covers

The Nike Air Zoom Type was unveiled in May 2020 and has since enjoyed a relatively low-profile life. Scattered throughout its release roster, however, has been a handful of impressive arrangements that have drawn attention from savvy fashion consumers. Most recently, a women’s-exclusive “Sail/Electro Orange/Pale Ivory/Black” option has joined the cohort with its mixed of materials and patterns.
At a glance, the latest sneaker from Nike Sportswear’s N.354 imprint appears to favor a tonal “Sail” style, but further inspection reveals the model’s experimental nature. Vibrant orange accents animate branding along the profiles, as well as the inner lining and visible Zoom Air units underfoot. Metallic button-assisted overlays around the heel introduce striped, lace and quilted swaths to the AlphaFly NEXT%-inspired silhouette, ostensibly a nod to women’s apparel. Underfoot, the layered midsole and waffle-patterned outsole deliver a tried-and-proven “Sail/Black” makeup that allow the aforementioned patterns to revel that much more in the spotlight.
