French outdoor equipment and apparel brand Salomon opened its third store New York City this week in tandem with the launch of two new footwear styles—the GRVL Concept Shoe, a hybrid runner, and the Pink Pack, a new colorway for four iconic styles.
The 812-square-foot store, located a block from Central Park on Manhattan’s Upper West Side (270 Columbus Ave.), will offer a larger assortment of the brand’s Performance products than its Brooklyn and Soho stores, including a full collection of run apparel and hydration accessories, as well as Sportstyle product. The store’s streamlined, modern vibe and natural elements are intended as a nod to the brand’s mountain sports heritage.
The new GRVL Concept Shoe is a performance gravel shoe designed to offer speed, bounce, and stability on varied terrain, from paved roads to rough trails. Available in men’s and women’s, it features a peba-based OptiFoam+ midsole for cushioning, ensuring a soft landing and high energy return; full-length carbon blades to provide propulsion and smooth transitions from heel to toe; and an outsole inspired by gravel bike tires for grip and protection during off-road adventures. A built-in-mini gaiter keeps out debris.
Meanwhile, the pastel Pink Pack offers a fresh, stylish iteration of four classic Salomon silhouettes—the ACS Pro, Speedcross 3, XT-Whisper, and RX Marie-Jeanne in men’s and women’s.
