Chinese New Year will be celebrated on January 22 this year, and so to hype up the festivities Nike has been gradually unveiling its fleet of celebratory footwear. One of the installments that fans will get to indulge in is the Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Rabbit,” and after surfacing via leaked imagery back in November, the sneakers have now officially been uncovered.Right away you can notice the kicks’ colorful ensemble. Overlays alternate between light blues, royal blues and reds as these colors are symbolic of Chinese culture. Furry textures are added to the Swooshes and tongue banners — the latter of which trade out their usual Nike hits for Chinese letters that translate to “rabbit” in English — to represent a rabbit’s skin. Lace deubres have been given gilded finishes and state “2023” to mark the new year while golden bunny icons are laid down on the footbeds and the lateral heels. In addition, the embroidered Nike branding that arrives on the heels has also been dialed to a luxe gold hue.Browse through the gallery above to get a detailed look at the pair and expect these to release via Nike in the coming weeks. For more news, check out the upcoming Nike MMW 005 Slide “Light Grey” colorway.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
