After linking up for Fall/Winter 2020, Wales Bonner and adidas Originals have reunited for a new collaboration. The latest capsule takes inspiration from the diasporic connection between Britain and the Caribbean, particularly exploring this connection during the 1980s.For this capsule — which made its debut in the designer’s Spring/Summer 2021 presentation — Wales Bonner has designed both footwear and apparel, reworking tracksuits, football jerseys and shorts alongside classic adidas silhouettes. This season introduces the Nizza, in black, purple or white, as well as returning to the Samba silhouette for two black leather designs, each with contrasting laces and Three Stripe branding.Take a look at the latest Wales Bonner x adidas Originals collaboration in the gallery above. British label YMC has continued its 25th anniversary through a new collaboration with Moonstar. Linking up with the Japanese footwear label, YMC has created a basketball-inspired high-top sneaker, described by YMC’s Fraser Moss as “the choice of footwear for tearaways, delinquents and hoodlums since the birth of the teenage.”Consistent with YMC’s drive to create a foundation wardrobe, the simple Moonstar Hi Basket comes in three colorways: indigo, olive and ecru. Each one is constructed using Moonstar’s classic rubber sole unit, as well as subtle details including sidewall reinforcement, eight eyelets, and contrasting stitching.Take a look at the YMC x Moonstar Hi Basket in the gallery above.
