Jordan Brand Presents Caris Levert’s Air Jordan 35 Low “Dad” PE

About midway through the 2020-2021 NBA season, Jordan Brand beefed up its basketball roster with Caris Levert — a stretch guard who was involved in the blockbuster trade deal that eventually sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. Since signing with the Jumpman family, Levert has been gifted a variety of special Jordan gear, one of which is this newly surfaced Air Jordan 35 Low “Dad” PE.The overarching theme of this hardwood-ready iteration is predicated on Daryl Levert — his father — and his love for America’s team in the Dallas Cowboys. The NFL squad’s team colors are translated onto the upper, dark navy being pronounced on the nubuck overlays, cables and Cowboys-inspired stars on the tongues, while a metallic silver outfits the underlays, toe boxes, heel Nike Air stamps, throats and the midsole Eclipse plates. To further pay homage to his dad, a “Darryl” spell out is embroidered in the interior side of the tongues. Stacked underneath all of that are midsoles that come dressed with more navy and outsoles that are presented with a milky finish.Peep a closer look at the pair here above, and be on the lookout for him to rock these during the last half of the season. For more footwear news, check out a closer look at the Air Jordan 12 “Twist”.

Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu To Release in Refreshing “Clear Aqua”

Pharrell may be busy opening boutique hotels and opining on the power of ownership in the music industry as of late, but he’s always got plenty of time for his adidas partnership — and now Skateboard P and the Three Stripes have readied the popular NMD Hu in a refreshing “Clear Aqua.”. Following the tonal stylings established by a recent pink colorway, the “Clear Aqua” offers up chill summertime style and a meaningful text hit on its top half.As is par for the course on Pharrell’s NMDs, the upper on the “Clear Aqua” is composed of stretchy, flexible Primeknit. This socklike base layer is bolstered by a cut-out midfoot cage and rope laces that wrap around the top of the foot. Starting under these laces and reaching down to the toebox is the shoe’s signature detail: a Xhosa (Bantu language) text hit that reads “Uluntu,” or “community” in English.More branding is debossed on the leather heel pieces, namely Pharrell’s equality graphic on the left foot and an adidas Originals Trefoil on the right foot. Collars boast black lining, insoles show a signature anatomy print, and the look is completed by a cool blue BOOST midsole with both forefoot and heel bricks. The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Clear Aqua” will release via the adidas webstore on May 14, and is priced at $220 USD.For more from the world of the Trefoil, grab an look at Craig Green’s latest duo of collaborative silhouettes.

Keith Haring’s Iconic Artwork Dominates Extensive Converse Collaboration

Keith Haring is an “All Star” of the art world, so it makes perfect sense that the late artist’s work now finds itself at the center of a Converse collaboration.Taking on the Converse Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star, Pro Leather Low, and the new Run Star Hike silhouette, Haring’s seminal and instantly recognizable aesthetic and work appear dominantly on the four collaborative pairs. His signature style epitomizes a sense of creativity and self-expression all while acting as a vessel for supporting and representing oppressed communities, as the work is fun and free-spirited yet still commanding of your attention.Haring found fame in the emerging New York City graffiti scene, often emblazoning his work onto subway billboards and walls along the streets. Today, Converse’s signature sneakers act as Haring’s canvas, with the artist’s playful characters sprawling across the entire upper of the Chuck 70, Pro Leather, and the All Star in a classic black-on-white look with red detailing.Other pairs of Chuck 70s are more paired-back with just thick black embroidery and midsole detailing adorning the creamy canvas uppers, which can also be said for the Run Star Hike that’s served in black canvas with prominent red Converse details and white Haring artwork.Staying true to Haring’s expressive form, customers can also use the “Converse By You” program to customize their own Chuck 70, allowing you to choose from four main designs and edit the ankle patch, midsole, laces, foxing, pinstripes, heelstay, and lining accordingly.Take a look at the Keith Haring x Converse collaboration in the campaign above, and pick up all the pairs from Converse’s website and at select retailers worldwide on May 13.In case you missed it, check out the latest installment of Sole Mates. This time around, HYPEBEAST spoke with Tyler Adams about the Air Jordan 4.
