Nike and its Sportswear division is delivering a brand new Flyleather footwear capsule just in time for Summer 2021. Enlisted in this new collection are two iconic silhouettes in the Air Force 1 Low and the Blazer Low, both of which have been reimagined by Tokyo-based artist Mayumi Yamase.Both pairs are treated with Yamase’s playful and vibrant design language, the graphics of which draw from her value of community as a creative and dynamic element of her projects. “Community gives me a sense of comfort and fun in my daily life, but it also stretches my imagination and surprises me, leading to discoveries in my own artwork that challenge my expectations,” she says when reflecting on her design mentality.The uppers of each take are constructed with at least 50 percent recycled leather fibers and are guided by understated white leathers and various bursts of earthy pastels. The Air Force 1 proposal is whipped up with peachy brush stroke Swooshes, Yamase’s moniker on the tongues and whimsical graphics skewed to the lateral forefoot of the right shoe. Down below, the bottom piece is tinted with a creamsicle looking hue. Its release sibling — the Blazer Low — sees through to a mostly white and gray build, and comes ornamented with ocean blue Swooshes, carrot-like accents down the throat and the identical paint brush green Nike checks with Yamase’s namesake on the tongues.The Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather and the Nike Blazer Low Flyleather are dropping on May 19 on SNKRS, NikeLab MA5 and DSM Ginza (Tokyo).For more footwear news, peep a first look at the impending Nike Dunk Low “Camo”.

If you’re a fan of Dunks, then it’s surely your time to rejoice because Nike is blessing the sneaker market with a plethora of new variations this season. On the women’s side, one of the takes that is dropping is the Nike Dunk Low “Lemon Drop” for women which has just been revealed by way of detailed lifestyle imagery.Devised with hues that are reflective of the sour fruit, the low-cut proposal calls upon white tumbled leathers to form the toe boxes, quarter paneling and collars, and sits these adjacent to suede overlays that are dialed to a muted yellow hue. The tongue’s branding, the side wall Swooshes and the heel’s overlay all match up with an “Opti Yellow” exterior. Elsewhere on these Summer-friendly kicks, you’ll find the laces the mesh tongues dialed with a “Sail” hue and an actual graphic of a lemon embroidered into the heel sections of the lateral panel. After receiving official release info for the highly-anticipated “Chicago” colorway, we are now learning of a “Storm Blue” take on the Air Jordan 1 KO High Retro.This time around, the canvas take on the court classic features a clean white base paired with contrasting blue overlays. Black is introduced in the form of a leather ankle collar and midfoot Swooshes, along with the lacing. “NIKE” tongue tags, Wings motif at the ankle and printed insoles serve as the additional branding on the shoe.
