Nike’s Air Max Goadome Makes a Rugged Comeback

Summary:The Nike Air Max Goadome is back with an updated waterproof leather upper, padded ankle collar, and a sturdy rubber outsole.Originally released in the early 2000s, the boot is now available in three colorways: “Black/Sesame/Neutral Olive”, “Summit White”, and “Black”.Embossed ACG branding appears on the lateral side of the midsole.First launched in 2000, the Nike Air Max Goadome was designed by Carl Blakeslee for Nike’s ACG (All Conditions Gear) line. The goal was to create a functional, street-ready alternative to Timberland’s iconic 6-inch boot, which was gaining popularity among outdoor enthusiasts. However, the Goadome quickly carved out its own niche – especially in inner-city communities – thanks to early 2000s NYC hip-hop culture, which helped elevate the boot to global recognition.More recently, collaborations like Supreme’s 2021 snakeskin edition have helped keep the Goadome relevant in the streetwear scene as a weather-resistant, Air-cushioned blend of fashion and function – perfect for everyday sidewalk stepping. Now re-released in “Black/Sesame/Neutral Olive” – one of three colorways currently available on Nike’s website alongside “Summit White” and “Black” – the Goadome features an updated waterproof leather upper, padded ankle collar for comfort and a rugged gum rubber outsole with aggressive lugs for traction. Additionally, it features full-length Air Max cushioning offering solid impact absorption, and carries embossed “ACG” branding on the midsole nodding to its heritage yet reimagined for the modern urban landscape. The Nike Air Max Goadome is available now on Nike.com for $200.

In Mint Condition: Tobe Nwigwe Reveals Reebok x Chukwu ABUO

Name: Reebok x Chukwu ABUOColorway: Mint; ChalkMSRP: $130 USDRelease Date: August 22Where to Buy: ReebokAll of Tobe Nwigwe’s creative ventures are highly intentional, be it his unwavering wordplay on a genre-blurring track or, as he’s been locked in on as of late, a new needle-pushing collaborative footwear project. For the latest chapter in his Reebok x Chuku creative partnership, Nwigwe has curated the Reebok x Chukwu ABUO – a modern-day reimagining of the Reebok BB 4000 II rooted in family and representative of his artistic journey. The sneaker features a mixed-material upper, complete with comingling hairy suede, nubuck leather, and textile, while curved overlays, a lace toggle closure, and a custom-molded heel logo round out the sleek design.”Chukwu ABUO is more than just the next drop, it’s a reflection of growth, deeply rooted in my family and heritage, connecting where I’ve been with where I’m going,” Nwigwe explained of the highly personal release. “This collection represents clarity, how my past and future align in the now. It’s a refined continuation of what I started: classic, elevated, tailored, and still undeniably me.”Even down to the colorway, the mint hue is core to Nwigwe’s creative DNA. “The Mint throughout isn’t just a color, it symbolizes new beginnings and things falling into place as they’re ‘Mint’ to be,” he says, contextualizing his inaugural “Preseason OTU” launch earlier this year as the groundwork for this new drop. View this post on InstagramA post shared by Tobe Nwigwe (@tobenwigwe) “OTU was the beginning, and together with ABUO, they’re two chapters in a bigger story about duality, balance, and staying grounded in where you’re from while stepping into what’s ahead.”And, as always, family is at the collection’s core. “Family was at the heart of every design decision in this collection. My kids inspire how I think, create, and move through life. This collection reflects that energy and intention. It’s a piece of my family’s story—created with care, and meant to be shared from my family to yours.”With that sentiment guiding the new release, not only does Nwigwe’s family front the new campaign, but the Reebok x Chukwu ABUO comes amply stocked in Juniors, Childrens, and Infant sizing. An apparel capsule spanning a heavyweight hoodie, coaches jacket, graphicwear, and sweats is also included in the ABUO drop.Peep the full collection in the striking shoot above and catch it when it drops on the Reebok webstore on August 22, at 10 a.m. EST.

SATISFY’s TheROCKER Debuts This Week

Name: SATISFY TheROCKERColorways: Falcon, Shadow, and Antique WhiteSKUs: TBCMSRP: $290 USDRelease Date: August 14Where to Buy: SATISFYUpdate: SATISFY closed out 2024 with a preview of its first in-house shoe, teasing TheROCKER. It followed up with clear visuals of the low-top runner in March and is now finally ready to drop the shoe this week. As noted in our previous discussions, the model is packed with technical specifications that ensure peak performance for all-terrain exploration. Its three launch colorways include “Falcon,” “Shadow,” and “Antique White,” with all three featuring SATISFY branding scattered throughout. Look out for the new model to drop this Thursday, August 14, at 10am EDT via SATISFY at an expected price of $290 USD.Update: First previewed at the end of last November, SATISFY has officially unveiled TheROCKER. This bold new step in footwear is all about performance as it begins with a Vibram TuneLug outsole that delivers precise multi-directional traction. Euforia Super Foam at the sole ensures proper bounce while a Rippy 66 Monomesh offers lightweight strength at the upper. The exploration-ready silhouette appears here in an earthy brown that combines with a black that hosts reflective SATISFY branding callouts. Stay tuned for more information regarding TheROCKER’s rollout as it remains set to debut this summer and revisit our initial breakdown below for additional details. View this post on Instagram A post shared by SATISFY (@satisfyrunning)Original Story: Paris-based SATISFY is bringing its singular “romantic performancewear” aesthetic to an in-house footwear model for the first time. The brand recently announced TheROCKER, a wholly original sneaker silhouette described as “the ultimate running shoe engineered for those who move between worlds.”Material expertise is at the core of SATISFY’s product range — standout technologies in the SATISFY apparel line include CloudMerino wool jersey milled in Japan and GhostFleece, a custom lightweight Polartec Alpha blend, for example — and that same insistence on the world’s finest materials is on display via TheROCKER’s construction.Semi-translucent uppers are made of Rippy Monomesh, a bespoke take on Nova Nylon 66 material that offers stabilization and moisture management. Midsoles offer a custom “super foam” that SATISFY has dubbed Euforia, a blend of PEBA and EVA, and were 3D-printed for maximum cushioning with no extra bulk. Down below, outsoles feature a TuneLug pattern inspired by RC car tires that wraps onto the midsole to ensure durability and traction in all climates. They also use Vibram’s Litebase technology to reduce weight. From an aesthetic standpoint, the first colorway of TheROCKER features a monochromatic bone hue, given texture and depth by its translucent upper and chunky outsole lugs.Though this may be SATISFY’s first in-house sneaker design, the brand is very familiar with the footwear sphere thanks to well-regarded collaborations with the likes of norda, HOKA and Crocs, and TheROCKER will begin a new chapter in the SATISFY lineage when it touches down in Summer 2025. Stay tuned for more info as it’s made available.
