Bridging the worlds of fashion and sportswear, the two turned back time to produce a retro-inspired range of apparel. On top of this, the centerpiece of the campaign was the return of the Nike Astrograbber, a ’70s American football model. Two colorways of the shoe launched last year, with two more offered earlier this year. Now, it’s time for the Astrograbber to be offered to the masses. Three versions of the old school shoe are set to drop on Tuesday, and the Swoosh has revealed that it has plenty more on the way with the unveiling of a “Black/Muslin” take that is particularly familiar. A black leather upper is joined by off-white Swooshes, matching one of Bode’s first compositions. What sets this pair apart, aside from the lack of Bode ornamentation, is the sole unit, which favors off-white this time around. At the time of writing, Nike has not yet announced when this “Black/Muslin” version of the Astrograbber will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates, including the unveiling of additional colorways, as we currently expect this pair to arrive by the end of the year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers around its typical $135 USD price point.
