Converse took its lifestyle footwear category to new heights last year with its high volume of collaborative releases as it grew its line with Tyler, the Creator, aligned with A-COLD-WALL* on more futuristic silhouettes and proffered several offerings made with Stüssy. And this year it’s going to continue this hot streak with more projects, one being this three-part Cup Noodles-inspired sneaker collection made with Nissin Foods. The Japanese convenience food company hand-picked the Converse All-Star R to focus on for this collection, making a duo of high-cut iterations and one low-top variation. The heightened installments nod to the brand’s original and seafood instant ramen flavors. Both are formed with crisp white canvas backdrops, and this allows for the packaging-inspired branding to do most of the talking. Cup Noodles embellishments are printed across the tongues and lateral sides of the right sneaker in either red or blue to mimic the aforementioned flavors while the left sneaker features Converse hits in the same font. Heel tabs lean into the product theme by getting equipped with bar codes. Additionally, Nissin Foods logos make their way onto the lower heels.Shifting to the low-top, these are fashioned with stark black uppers and come covered in black and white Cup Noodles logos as well as bold red Nissin Foods insignias. The laces have been twisted up to copy the aesthetic of perfectly-cooked noodles. The kicks are expected to release sometime in January 2023 for ¥13,200 (approx. $101 USD).In other news, official images of the ADER error x Converse Chuck 70 have appeared.

Official Look at the Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Rabbit”
Chinese New Year will be celebrated on January 22 this year, and so to hype up the festivities Nike has been gradually unveiling its fleet of celebratory footwear. One of the installments that fans will get to indulge in is the Nike Dunk Low “Year of the Rabbit,” and after surfacing via leaked imagery back in November, the sneakers have now officially been uncovered.Right away you can notice the kicks’ colorful ensemble. Overlays alternate between light blues, royal blues and reds as these colors are symbolic of Chinese culture. Furry textures are added to the Swooshes and tongue banners — the latter of which trade out their usual Nike hits for Chinese letters that translate to “rabbit” in English — to represent a rabbit’s skin. Lace deubres have been given gilded finishes and state “2023” to mark the new year while golden bunny icons are laid down on the footbeds and the lateral heels. In addition, the embroidered Nike branding that arrives on the heels has also been dialed to a luxe gold hue.Browse through the gallery above to get a detailed look at the pair and expect these to release via Nike in the coming weeks. For more news, check out the upcoming Nike MMW 005 Slide “Light Grey” colorway.
On-Foot Look at the Upcoming Nike Dunk Low CO.JP
The new year is here, and Nike is poised to build on its momentum from 2022 by delivering a fresh batch of sneakers for its massive consumer base. Down the road in 2023, the Nike Dunk Low CO.JP lineage will be revisited and broadened with a new brown and black entry. And after appearing via early imagery last month, we now have a detailed on-foot view of the pair.Designers on the Swoosh team leaned on neutral tones for this installment as well as a myriad of materials and textures. The most stand-out element of these lifestyle kicks is the black snakeskin pattern that is dropped off on the toe boxes, quarter panels, and collars, all of which land onto a lighter beige backdrop. Next to this, you’ll find the overlays drenched in a brown which also features remnants of snakeskin patterns. Swooshes on the side panels as well as the heightened heel overlays are texturized with croc-like black leathers which further echo its reptilian motif. To top everything off, tiny notes of a daring red poke out through the Nike branding on the tongues and heels.Check out a closer look above and stay tuned for word on their release day.For more news, a Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Wheat/Navy” colorway has leaked.
