The winter season will deliver more showering rainstorms and heavy blizzards, so it’s crucial that you keep safeguarding footwear on deck. Luckily, Nike has responded to climate changes by releasing weatherproof footwear options for its fans, and the latest to get unveiled is this Air Max Scorpion installment with gaiters.Locked in by straps that loop through the squiggly midsole, the protective pieces are essentially rain jackets for your feet and reinforce the kicks with a gorpcore look and feel. They’re crafted with a windbreaker-type material, exaggerated in height as they soar up to the wearer’s knee area, drape over the top of the shoes and are held down by buttons. Digitalized Nike logos are also printed over the shins. The shoes themselves are infused with a blend of neutral, earthy tones. Knitted base layers alternate between various shades of gray and come complemented by subtle splashes of blue down the throat and on the heels. Additionally, metallic silver finishes touch up the laces, perforated overlays on the front and the midsole molds.Parties interested in the kicks can look for Nike and other retailers to drop these in the upcoming weeks. For other news, on-foot shots of an upcoming Orange Label Nike SB Dunk Low have appeared.
