New Balance Taps Into Nature With This 9060

Returning for its second year on the market, New Balance has opted to keep the momentum of the 9060 going by following up on its Lunar New Year collection with a “Sea Salt” colorway and an upcoming Bricks & Wood collaboration. Now, an early launch of yet another look has revealed an earthy color scheme for the chunky silhouette. One of New Balance’s key models of last year, the 9060 steps into 2023 with yet another off-white-accented pair. Joining the creamy hue, what is officially referred to as “Maroon” appears to be a reddish brown shade that covers various leather overlays, including the heel tab. This color also outlines the “N” logos that shine bright in white, matching the pair’s mesh base and toe overlays. A soft olive green makes an appearance at the sizable sole’s rear portion of its midsole while shades of off-white cover the remainder of the sneaker. As of now, New Balance has yet to announce its launch of this colorway. However, select retailers such as Suppa have the pair available for purchase early at a price of €180 EUR (approx. $192 USD) in limited remaining sizes.Stay tuned for official launch information and for more of the latest in footwear, one of many New Balance 550s to pop up this week, the “Turtledove” look sees mint green sneak into its otherwise white and off-white color scheme.

First Look at the Nike Dunk Low “Rainbow Trout”

Every season looks to be Nike Dunk season as the silhouette trots its way into the new year with all sorts of releases lined up. Iterating on the Dunk Low further, Nike has put together a fish-themed “Rainbow Trout” pair that joins a previously revealed silver pair in outfitting its lateral Swooshes with fishhooks. In this early preview of the colorway, the branding elements aren’t the only references to fish as its ripstop base features a pattern similar to that of a rainbow trout. These yellow spots match the golden yellow scaly Swooshes that shine with a fishhook design attached on the lateral’s Swoosh. Rough suede overlays are covered in a forest green while the heel remixes suede in orange and pink patches. Its cream sole features orange stitching that matches the ripstop tongue that carries a fish drawing with “Nike Beaverton 1972” text written on it.Currently, Nike has yet to share any release information for the Nike Dunk Low “Rainbow Trout” and its silver counterpart. Look for it to land on shelves via Nike and select retailers in the coming months. View this post on Instagram A post shared by ?‍? On-Foot Look at the UNION x Air Jordan 1 KO Low

Update: Following our first look at the pair, on-foot shots of the UNION x Air Jordan 1 KO Low have now been shared, revealing repeating “UN/LA” text in black beneath the Velcro base of the Swooshes. A release date of January 27 remains expected, however, stay tuned for official information and imagery from Nike and check out the full story below.Original Story: UNION is one of Jordan Brand’s most consistent collaborators, taking on some of the Jumpman’s most high-powered silhouettes like the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 4. However, they’ve also dipped their toes in the waters of more under-the-radar models like the Delta Mid and the Crater Slide, and their latest collaboration — the Air Jordan 1 KO Low, a brand-new silhouette inspired by the original Air Jordan 1 KO — sits somewhere in the middle.News of the low-top Air Jordan 1 KO first broke at the tail end of October, but we’re now getting our first official look at it before the holidays thanks to a joint leak from zsneakerheadz and beechkicks_. Save for some slightly different colorblocking and tooling, the actual shoe isn’t that far off from the early mock-up. It uses an airy “White/Sail/University Gold/Neutral Grey” color scheme, a full canvas upper and a hybrid construction that draws from both the KO and the OG Air Jordan 1 Low, which is set off with “aged” midsoles, UNION tags that hang from the Swooshes, exposed foam tongues and thick heel badges. However, the most interesting detail is served up by the interchangeable swooshes, which come in either grey or sky blue. Each pair also comes packaged in a custom box with an image of a thick gold medallion on its lid.At the time of writing, zsneakerheadz reports that the UNION x Air Jordan 1 Low KO is set to release on January 27 and retail for $150 USD, though neither of these pieces of info have been confirmed by Nike. Stay tuned for more info as it’s made available. To learn more about the mystery, history and influence of the Air Jordan 1 KO, check out Hypebeast’s historical retrospective of the under-the-radar model.
