Now that Ye has been removed from the picture, adidas will be ramping up its efforts with its other music artist collaborations this year, one of which is Beyoncé’s IVY PARK partnership. The Queen had herself quite a successful year with the Three Stripes in 2022, and in 2023 she’s looking to keep her momentum strong with the release of a brand new silhouette: the adidas New IVY PARK Top Ten 2000.The kicks are pieced together with archival tooling from the adidas Top Ten 2000 — one of the models that is associated with Kobe Bryant’s time with the German sportswear imprint — as well as futuristic design details. Its past-meets-future design features upper layers that are cooked up with curvy overlays that are made from leather and land on the forefoot as well as a crinkled, TPU heel piece that is made with a sultry suede hue. Tongues are borrowed from the classic adidas Samba and are debossed with IVY PARK branding, and these come accessorized with flecked laces. Zig-zagged sole units are blasted with bold shades of orange to represent IVY PARK’s signature accent hue.Expect these to hit adidas as a CONFIRMED-exclusive on January 20. adidas and Y-3 Present a Triple-Black Version of Their Superstar Collaboration
adidas and Yohji Yamamoto have just unveiled an all-new iteration of their collaborative Superstar silhouette — with the model now arriving in a stealthy, triple-black color scheme.Recently, the duo has presented various collaborations that have given a revitalized feel to adidas’ footwear mainline. For example, the pair have recently dropped new versions of the Qasa High, 4D Halo Runner, and most recently, two fresh editions of the Gazelle. Now, adidas and Y-3 are pushing their new Superstar, the first since the platformed Hicho version last year. Unlike previous iterations from the partnership, this newly-surfaced Y-3 Superstar welcomes a more understated approach. As a whole, the silhouette keeps its traditional leather and rubber build, however, the profile Three Stipe features a non-standard stitch build. Furthermore, the upper panels also feature similar detailing, while the sole units lean into a more organized arrangement with blacked-out laces and a non-branded tongue. You can take a closer look at the adidas x Y-3 Superstar above and it will be available on the official adidas website in the coming weeks. In other footwear news, Nike’s Air Max 97 “Golden Bullet” is returning.
