As we approach the final quarter of 2023, the sneaker release lineup for 2024 continues to emerge. The latest look to enter the conversation is a “Year of the Dragon” colorway on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG. Following up on last year’s “Year of the Rabbit” collection, Jordan Brand is back to celebrate Chinese New Year with a dragon-themed finish on the AJ1 Low.Kicking things off, the upper sports a “Sail” leather base that complements the “Oil Green” scale overlays that span from the mudguard to the heel counter. From there, its Swooshes carry a shiny finish in red, matching the laces, tongue tag and the heel’s embroidered Wings logo. Gold chimes in at the heel tab’s base and the tongue’s Nike Air branding while silver adorns the lining and semi-translucent outsole. Key thematic details round out the look courtesy of the sockliner, inside of the tongue and a celebratory red envelope. No details regarding Jordan Brand’s “Year of the Dragon” collection, including this version of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG, has been disclosed by Nike just yet. Stay tuned for updates as the pair is currently expected to touch down on shelves on January 24 at a price of $160 USD via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Nicholas Daley Sets a Premium Touch on G.H. BASS’ Weejuns Loafer
London-based menswear designer Nicholas Daley is a rising star in the UK fashion scene, shining a light on Black culture and his cultural heritage. After unveiling his Spring/Summer 2024 collection earlier this year, the designer unities with G.H. BASS for his debut footwear collaboration. Daley sets a premium touch on G.H. BASS’ Weejuns loafer, reinventing the formal offering in “Navy” and “Chocolate” colorways. The low-top model is crafted from suede and burnished leather with embossed crocodile patterns, seeing braided details line the toe boxes in white. The silhouette’s trademark leather strip decorates the upper half with a smooth finish featuring elegant interlocked silver hardware. Cursive-style “Bass” badges subtly hit the ankle areas, completing the design with tonal and chunky Super Lug sole units for supreme comfort. Take a closer look at Nicholas Daley’s G.H. BASS Weejuns loafer collaboration in the gallery above. It is available to shop now via the designer’s website for £166 GBP (approximately $203 USD). Official Look Jordan 6 Rings “Black” Colorway
Named after Michael Jordan’s iconic six NBA championship wins, the Jordan 6 Rings combines elements from seven classic Air Jordan silhouettes he wore during the six championships. Gearing up for the colder weather, the Jordan 6 Rings Winterized returns in a sleek, all-black colorway. With its weather-resistance makeup due the thick premium leather that is used throughout the full-length upper, overlay, heel counter and tongue construction, the shoe is sturdy and weather-ready. Ballistic mesh is also used across the upper and tongue, while metallic lace loops give the shoe a heavy duty and functional look. Tonal branding and a rubber outsole rounds out the shoe’s design.Look out for the Jordan 6 Rings Winterized “Black” dropping later this year at select retailers and online at Nike for $185 USD.
