First Look at the Fear of God x adidas Rivalry Low 86

Sneakerheads have waited over three years for Fear of God and adidas to release their first collaborative sneaker. Now, it’s finally looking like the duo is ready to drop this year with a myriad of leaked pairs accompanied by Fear of God’s debut runway show that included highlights from the two. Just days ago, another pair — one seemingly inspired by the Retropy E5 — popped up and today sees yet another silhouette appear.Reworking the adidas Rivalry Low 86, Fear of God has modernized the silhouette with a platform sole unit, clean linework and a premium suede finish. Its monochromatic upper arrives in gray with elements such as the Three Stripes returning to the midfoot. Looking closer at the elevated sole, its smooth off-white finish hosts plain adidas branding at the lateral heel and the “FEAR OF GOD” stamp at the heel, resting inches below the gray Trefoil logo at the upper. We’re still awaiting word of Fear of God’s debut adidas collection, including this take on the Rivalry Low 86. Stay tuned for updates as the initial installment from the duo should touch down on shelves by the end of the year for Fall/Winter 2023. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Knowing Kicks (@knowing_kicks)Enjoy an early look at the pair above and for more of the latest news from the world of sneakers, check out the return of Emmitt Smith’s Reebok ES22 trainer, pulled straight from ’96.

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Bred Toe” is Returning

Two classic designs in Jordan Brand’s expansive catalog are the Air Jordan 1 and the brand’s often-used black and red “Bred” coloring. Over both motif’s decades of use, the two have teamed up countless times and look to be doing so once again with a new version of the Air Jordan 1 Low “Bred Toe.” In 2021, this approach was employed on the silhouette, albeit with slight differences, as a follow-up to 2018’s high-top “Bred Toe.”Now, the black and red combination dresses the low-top again with leather utilized throughout the upper’s construction. White appears at the midfoot’s base and midsole while red coats the toe box, heel counter and rubber outsole. As for black, it is visible at the overlays, mudguard, eyestays, laces, Swooshes and lining. Two notable differences from the 2021 pair include a red embroidered Jumpman logo at the tongue instead of white and a black collar instead of red.At the time of writing, Nike has not disclosed any release details pertaining to this version of the Air Jordan 1 Low “Bred Toe.” Stay tuned for updates as we expect it to touch down on shelves by the end of the year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $110 USD.For more of the latest updates from the sneaker space, be sure to check out the latest colorway of Travis Scott’s forthcoming signature sneaker — the Jordan Cut the Check — as seen on Scott when he appeared at Drake’s show in Vancouver.

Reebok Is Giving Emmitt Smith’s “ES22” Trainer Another Retro Run

Not too long after launching its latest Club C collaboration with Montreal-based design imprint JJJJound, Reebok is now making its way back into the footwear headlines by bringing our attention to its archives. Next month, the Boston-based sportswear entity will be bringing back Emmitt Smith’s “ES22” training sneaker. Initially debuted in ’96, the ES22 was introduced as part of Reebok’s “Preseason” footwear line of turf footwear and cleats designed to attack off-season training.Fast forward 26 years later, the “ES22” is getting brought back to the frontlines in its original “Blue/Black/White” colorway that references Smith’s illustrious career with the Dallas Cowboys. Key elements to call out include the Viz-Hex features, ghillie lacing system and distinct “broken-glass” Reebok branding elements atop the heels and tongues. “22” hits also arrive along the heels to honor Smith’s jersey number.“In conversations with Emmitt, we talked about what it’s like to be a running back in the pros,” said Reebok designer E. Scott Morris. “He said “it’s like getting into 25 car wrecks a day.” First things I thought of were collisions, airbags, and how car frames are designed to protect your body and head. I thought “do that for a shoe”, and that’s how ES22’s frame came into being.”Reebok’s “ES22” is set to drop on September 15 via Reebok and select retailers for $180 USD.In case you missed it, Reebok recently revealed its Question Mid “Black/Blue” colorway.
