JJJJound Teases Collaborative New Balance 2002R

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. JJJJound and New Balance have successfully ushered in a slew of collaborative footwear projects across the past few years. Leaning on the former’s penchant for tasteful color arrangements, everything from the 990v3 to the 991 has been reworked by the two. Now, JJJJound and New Balance have prepared a collaborative take on the 2002R for Fall/Winter 2023.JJJJound’s brief preview of its work on the New Balance 2002R offers a breakdown of its material composition, color distribution and co-branding. Various blue hues have been prepared across the build as black “N” branding at each side, off-white laces and a gray synthetic base offer additional notes. The tongue branding sees simple “JJJJound” text highlighted as the upper’s construction toggles between suede and leather at the overlays. Rounding out the look, the N-Ergy-backed sole unit sees white and off-white combine at the midsole, resting neatly atop the black rubber outsole. At the time of writing, neither JJJJound nor New Balance have shared their plans for the release, other than JJJJound simply stating that the project will debut at some point during Fall/Winter 2023. View this post on Instagram A post shared by JJJJound (@jjjjound)In other exciting news from the always-moving footwear industry, be sure to check out the release details for the return of the Concepts x New Balance 998 “C-Note.”

“Red Stardust” Enlivens the Nike Dunk Low

Nike continues to favor putting the spotlight on the SB Dunk Low, however, that hasn’t stopped the brand from continuing its steady flow of Dunk Low colorways as well. Recently, looks on the Dunk Low have included a “Bacon”-flavored presentation and an NBA-themed pair that nods to Paris. Now, “Red Stardust” hits the silhouette after previously gracing the Air Alpha Force 88 and Air Max 1.Kicking things off, the canvas base utilizes a striped texture with a soft “Sanddrift” coating it at the toe box, midfoot and heel. From there, its signature “Red Stardust” dresses the nubuck overlays that go from the mudguard to the heel counter — matching the shoe’s lining and rubber outsole. Rounding out the pair, a “Summit White” touches down on the leather Swooshes and heel tab while also adorning the stitched midsole.Stay tuned for release details as Nike has yet to share any regarding this “Red Stardust” version of the Dunk Low. Currently, we expect it to land on shelves this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $125 USD.Looking for more of the latest news from the footwear space?
