In recent years, ASICS has seemingly produced hit silhouettes out of thin air. For Paris Fashion Week, the GT-2160 popped up as a new offering from the brand, drawing from the GT-2000 series’ designs from the early ’10s. Since then, it’s been highlighted in a collaboration with Dime and featured as a key part of the brand’s FW23 lookbook. Now, on top of an “Oatmeal” pair that flew off shelves, an “Oyster Grey” presentation of the kicks has surfaced. With this rendition of the GT-2160, a mesh base in its signature grey is joined by synthetic overlays that fit snugly in the brand’s traditional design language. From there, off-white enters the mix with the segmented midsole structure and GEL technology inserts. For those eager to pick up a pair of ASICS’ GT-2160 in “Oyster Grey,” it can be shopped now via ASICS at a price of $120 USD. However, be sure to act fast as sizes have already started to sell out. If you miss out this time around, select retailers such as HBX should have the pair available in the future.Looking for additional headlines to catch up on from the footwear space? We’ve got you covered. ASICS has tapped Shenzhen-based fashion label COSTS for a “Cane Vine” collaboration on the GEL-LYTE III OG.

Official Images of the Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Porpoise”
Update: Back in June, Eli Manning and Fat Joe connected on The Eli Manning Show, leading to a special reveal of the Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Porpoise.” Now, Nike is finally gearing up to launch the kicks with a release date set for August 19 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $150 USD. Enjoy a complete visual breakdown of the pair above and for more details, peep our initial coverage below.Original Story: Eli Manning: two-time Super Bowl champion, New York Giants legend, broadcaster extraordinaire … sneaker lover? The youngest Manning brother may be best known for his on-field feats and his on-camera jokes, but now he’s made some noise in the sneaker space as well by revealing a new colorway of the Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1 Low in white and grey.Manning showed the shoes off in a recent episode of his eponymous The Eli Manning Show, where he took a trip to the Bronx to visit UP NYC, Terror Squad head honcho Fat Joe’s sneaker boutique. Between the jokes, shoe try-ons and general back-and-forth banter, he also revealed (and even licked the sole of) the new low-top Air Force 1. View this post on Instagram A post shared by New York Giants (@nygiants)Terror Squad Air Force 1s have historically boasted bold colorblocking and bright palettes, but this white and grey model is fairly straightforward, combining white toeboxes, quarter panels and midsoles with light grey Swooshes, heels, collars, and outsoles. Of course, Terror Squad’s “TS” logo is embroidered on the lateral heel. This no-frills scheme is in line with the recently-revealed white and black TS Air Force 1, a style that may serve as the model’s first first general release iteration.Until 2023, the Terror Squad Air Force 1 was an exceedingly rare shoe, and its various iterations could fetch four figures at auction. Almost 20 years ago, Nike produced the PE-style sneakers for Fat Joe and his inner circle — the rapper, whose government name is Joseph Antonio Cartagena, has indicated that not even Nike was aware of their existence at first as he had a friend at the brand who would order wildly-colored samples to distribute to the Terror Squad — but as the brand continues to mine previously unexplored areas of its past in the never-ending pursuit of cultural relevance the TS AF1s will be getting a proper moment in the sun.At the time of writing, no release date or info has been announced. However, more details will likely surface soon. For more from the world of footwear, check out the latest installment of Hypebeast’s weekly Best Footwear Drops list.

New Balance Introduces the WRPD Runner
Update: In June, Paris Fashion Week treated the footwear industry to a handful of exciting reveals. With AURALEE, this included another collaboration with New Balance — revealing work on the previously-unseen WRPD Runner. Now, as the silhouette has popped up several times since, New Balance has officially revealed the sneaker. Arriving first in the brand’s signature “Sea Salt” presentation, it’s packed with FuelCell technology and a “lifestyle meets tech-utility” design. Its sculpted finish emphasizes modernity while familiar elements such as the traditional “N” branding make a return at each side. Release for the WRPD Runner begins on August 16 via New Balance and select global retailers at a price of $140 USD for the “Sea Salt” pair.Original Story: New Balance is earning plenty of success with its current lineup of lifestyle models such as the 550, 990v3, 610 and more, but this year it’s ready to kick things up a notch and expand its output with new energy. The dual-layered midsole piece is chunky in stature and features sleek design lines that spruce up the kicks with a futuristic aesthetic and feel. Down below, the treading is fashioned with curvy ridges that are reminiscent of the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% running model, only it’s pronounced in all-over fashion here.
