Kiko Kostadinov Debuts Forthcoming ASICS NOVALIS Silhouette

London-based designer Kiko Kostadinov recently returned to Paris Fashion Week to debut his Spring/Summer 2024 menswear collection. His fascination with academic grounds continued, producing a school-ready wardrobe for distinct pupil personalities. While clothing was all the rage, Kostadinov’s footwear offerings appeared strikingly understated. Kiko Kostadinov’s forthcoming ASICS NOVALIS line was given its first look, seeing models walk down the runway wearing fresh silhouettes. Revealed earlier this year, the collaboration will connect mind, body, and sound through innovation and function. The Bulgarian designer previewed his first unique design during his SS24 runway show, consisting of an ultra-chunky model with yellow and brown tumbled leather uppers. ASICS’ Tiger Stripes logo is embossed across the medials, while abstract ASICS NOVALIS lettering is pressed into the ankles. The lacing systems and tongues are underpinned by tonal mesh detailing and complete with rubber soles reminiscent of Kostadinov’s Tonkin Lace-Up Shoe. Take a first look at Kiko Kostadinov’s debut ASICS NOVALIS sneaker in the gallery above. The collaboration is expected to release later this year. Ancuta Sarca Unveils New Upcycled Football Boot High Heels

London-based designer Ancuta Sarca is constantly offering new approaches to the British fashion scene. Globally recognized for her sneaker-heel combinations, her creations have stepped into critical acclaim, presenting her first-ever collection during the Spring/Summer 2020 season at London Fashion Week. Now, Sarca is a household name in UK fashion — especially since being included in The British Fashion Council’s BFC NEWGEN scheme — and the Romanian-born designer is continuing to impress with fresh teases of some collaborative heel-football-boot mash-ups with Nike. With an increased focus on sustainability in design, upcycling is continuing to be embraced as a new practice that gives fresh life to older products. This same practice is at the heart of everything Ancuta Sarca does, and her new limited-edition collection of signature hybrid footwear combines classic sports trainers and dainty heels, referencing some of the most iconic Nike football boots to ever be involved in the beautiful game. And while Sarca has previously created custom designs for the likes of Cher, Kim Kardashian, and Rosalía, this latest batch of imagery — taken straight from Sarca’s official Instagram page — presents a selection of heel-boots that were created for Rihanna back in January. Creating fresh looks for the Nike Air Zoom T90 III, the Nike T90 Laser IV from the 2012 Clash Pack, the Nike Tiempo Legend III, and the Nike Speed TD American Football cleat, the Air Zoom T90 III is also reimagined with a high-knee silhouette, while the others are reworked into “Kitten Heels.”You can take a closer look at the latest work from Ancuta Sarca in the gallery above. In other footwear news, check out this new Nike Air Max 90.

The Nike Air Huarache Runner Appears in “Anthracite” and “Triple White”

Throughout recent years, Nike has kept its lifestyle offerings fresh by presenting a variety of remixes to its successful silhouettes. Revisiting the Air Huarache, the Swoosh has leveraged the once-everywhere sneaker and outfitted it with an on-trend finish. Tapping into the surge in popularity of mixed material and layered uppers on trainers, the Air Huarache Runner is a clever interpretation of how the Air Huarache might look if it originally released in 2023.Following up on looks in gray and brown, the Air Huarache has surfaced in versatile “Anthracite” and “Triple White” finishes. The former sees almost-black and brownish-gray hues team up with jet black layers — blending mesh, leather and suede throughout the upper. As for the “Triple White” approach, it leans on various white, gray and off-white touches to bring out its matching construction. Rounding out each pair, the typical Huarache cage wraps around the heel with the sole unit revisiting its original molded shape.Anticipation is building for the launch of the Nike Air Huarache Runner with the Swoosh not revealing any release details just yet. Look for both the “Anthracite” and “Triple White” colorways to be joining the silhouette’s debut in the coming months at a price point of $140 USD each via Nike and select retailers. For more of the latest and greatest in the sneaker world, new rumors surrounding Supreme and Nike’s partnership have surfaced — pointing towards a Nike SB collaboration on the Air Darwin Low for Spring/Summer 2024.
