adidas Readies the NMD S1 for Summertime

In its ninth year on the market, the adidas NMD series is still going strong. Recently, the Three Stripes tapped Japanese streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD for a collaboration on the NMD S1 and a unique boot version of the silhouette while also ushering in another iteration of the shoe — the NMD W1. While the design may not hold the same power it once did, there’s no denying it plays a key role in adidas Originals’ lifestyle offerings each year. Now, as the NMD S1 continues to shine, adidas has prepared a new summertime-ready colorway. Kicking things off, the shoe starts with a knit upper containing yearn with at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and 50% recycled polyester. This knit primarily carries the colorway’s leading “Cream White” hue — a soft off-white that is joined by hits of red around the collar and at the Three Stripes. The midfoot looks to reveal the shoe’s interior with the aforementioned “Cream White” and a crisp green joining red at the Three Stripes on each side. Supporting the sneaker, a matching off-white midsole carries blue TPU plugs and is backed by a gum rubber outsole to complete this look.Adding to adidas’ releases scheduled for July 1, this NMD S1 colorway is set to launch at 3am EDT via adidas and select retailers at a price of $200 USD on July 1.For more of the latest updates within the always-busy footwear industry, BAPE is continuing its celebration of its 30th anniversary by teaming up with adidas on brown colorway of the Campus 80.

Official Images of Nike’s “United in Victory” Collection

Known for constantly introducing new themes, Nike has expanded its repertoire with a “United in Victory” collection. First revealed in April, the complete capsule has been officially showcased — featuring contributions from the Air Force 1 Low, Air Max Plus and Air Max 90. Each pair has been equipped with a unique pattern that sees the letters “N” and “U” — an acronym for “Nike United” — repeated across the four colorways involved.Leading the way, the Air Force 1 Low first takes on a “Vachetta Tan” base that is featured throughout the collection with the white-on-black lettering spanning from the midsole to the tongue. Its Swooshes, outsole and heel tab favor a pattern-less finish while thematic detailing arrives at the tongue branding on each side. As for the Air Max Plus, its patterned portion appears at the base with the signature beige hue coating the overlays. On the Air Max 90, white takes on a majority of the base and midsole while the Swooshes are the only element to carry the pattern with tan overlays above and below them. Lastly, a second Air Force 1 Low look sees the iconic all-white colorway adorned with patterned Swooshes and a matching heel tab joined by a golden Swoosh dubrae.Release for all four styles of Nike’s “United in Victory” collection is scheduled to take place on July 14. Look for it to land on shelves via Nike and select retailers at a price range of $120 USD to $180 USD.For more of the latest news regarding the Swoosh, a “Red Panda”-themed Dunk Low has been officially revealed by Nike, continuing its trend of panda-centric looks.
