Closer Look at Louis Vuitton SS24 Footwear

In the just-over 24 hours since Louis Vuitton captivated the world with Pharrell’s first runway show at Paris Fashion Week, headlines surrounding the showcase have highlighted everything from the accompanying new music to the star-studded list of attendees. As a result, the show’s attention has drifted away from the newly-presented designs themselves. Thankfully, Louis Vuitton’s head of design for men’s footwear — Mathias Patillon — has offered a preview of what him and his team have created with Skateboard P.During the show, it was difficult for even the most detailed onlooker to make out all of the pieces that walked across the Pont Neuf bridge. Thankfully, this early look details three key silhouettes. First, the LV Footprint — a slip-on boot slipper — appears with the brand’s monogram in three colorways. Under the fuzzy surface, the branded outsole is designed in the shape of a foot. Following this eye-catching design, checkered slippers in six looks see an “LV” script adorn the toe in gold with the traditional “LV” at the footbed. Lastly, a low-top trainer was shown off in five monochromatic colorways with uppers in suede and leather.Stay tuned for additional details regarding Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2024 footwear offerings. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mathias Patillon (@office2143)Looking for more of the latest news in the footwear space? Dime Previews Its Forthcoming ASICS GT-2160 Collab

Given all the spotlight and excitement that surrounds every Paris Fashion Week, brands with runway shows and imprints with activations will make it a point to flex their forthcoming footwear projects. And why it didn’t have any major catwalk moment, Dime has made its presence felt this week by showing off its upcoming Dime x ASICS GT-2160 collaboration. The Montreal-headquartered streetwear label elected to throw a concise set of neutral tones on this lifestyle runner and focus on gradients for the top and lower halves. Starting out with the base layers, the mesh toe boxes, laces and ASICS tiger stripes are both treated with off-white exteriors and transition into muted gray collars, heels and metallic silver overlays. A Dime call-out rests inside the lateral heel windows just below the GT-2160 branding. Underneath all of that, that midsole splits into four, colored sections. The forefoot is treated with a muted gray before it transitions into a rustic gold hue in the center and white and gray paneling in the rear. The kicks will be seeing a launch on June 22 through 3537’s FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE event. A wider release hasn’t been confirmed yet.Elsewhere in sneakers, an ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 “Tarmac” colorway has been revealed.
