The New Nike Air Huarache Runner Appears With Brown Hues

Earlier this month, plans for a new Nike lifestyle model surfaced with a first look at the Air Huarache Runner. Refreshing the classic Air Huarache, the silhouette has been modernized to meet the sneaker market’s affinity for layered builds. Its intricate upper offers ample room for creative colorways that offer a more complex finish than the standard base plus overlays found on shoes such as the Dunk Low.Following its initial gray look, Nike looks to have its eyes on the fall with a brown colorway. Its mesh base takes on a chocolate brown with leather and suede overlays ranging from tan to dark brown. The Huarache’s signature cage appears in black, wrapping around the heel while its standard sole unit combines white at the midsole and black at the rubber outsole. As for its branding, a red Huarache stamp appears at the tongue while small Swooshes land at the midfoot, toe and heel.Nike has yet to announce any release details regarding the Air Huarache Runner and this fall-ready colorway. Look for it to land on shelves as the Swoosh begins to roll the model out in the coming months at a price of $140 USD, available via Nike and select retailers.Looking for more of the latest headlines from the sneaker industry? New Balance Made in UK 991 Gets Treated With “Pacific” Overlays

New Balance has been making a substantial amount of noise in recent memory for its collaborative dealings with the likes of foodie and chef Action Bronson as well as its ongoing partnership with Aimé Leon Dore. However, it’s redirecting our attention back to its inline collection and revealing more New Balance 991 colorways, the latest being this all-new “Pacific” iteration. This iteration’s reveal arrives hot off the heels of the Made in UK model’s “Grape Juice” installment, and it bears many similar qualities. The underlying, breathable mesh materials are treated with a crispy white hue and are neighbored by buttery suede overlays around the toe boxes, on the quarters and along the mudguards in its titular shade. Muted gray accents see through to the tongues, collars and toe boxes while the rear features a solid black panel attachment. Nods to the 991 are placed onto the tongues and heel windows for extra flair. In addition, you’ll find the two-toned midsoles stuffed with ABZORB cushioning to provide wearers with a comfortable ride.Select retailers like Outback have these available to purchase right now, but be on the lookout for these to launch stateside in the coming weeks.Elsewhere in sneaker news, New Balance has a range of new 997s on the way.

PORTER And Converse Reunite For “SMOKY” Chuck Taylor All Star Collab

PORTER is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its quintessential “SMOKY” series, with an all-new Converse collaboration. In their second team-up, the duo has crafted a fresh version of the footwear brand’s classic Chuck Taylor All-Star silhouette, featuring PORTER’s signature “SMOKY” design language. The joint sneaker comes in a chocolate brown color and maintains its traditional silhouette and detailing. PORTER implements the CORDURA®︎ Duck fabric, used across the rest of its “SMOKY” line, in the sneaker’s construction, while notable Converse branding appears on each shoe’s heel and sole. In typical Converse fashion, the soles appear white; and in line with the collab, the insoles pop in PORTER’s signature orange color. Rounding out the design, a PORTER Tokyo tag is attached to the back of the shoe, along with more subtle branding on the insole. This isn’t PORTER’s first stab at reimagining Converse’s beloved Chuck Taylor All-Star; back in 2017, PORTER revamped the shoe in a similar vein to commemorate the silhouette’s 100th anniversary. A frequent collaborator, the Japanese luggage company also recently teamed up with Palace for a full collection, as well as Starbucks Japan for a line of drum bags and tumblers. The PORTER x Converse “SMOKY” Chuck Taylor All-Star retails for approximately $138 USD and will be available to shop at PORTER stores nationwide, as well as the brand’s online store, beginning Friday, June 23.For more in footwear, have a closer look at Louis Vuitton’s SS24 footwear.
