As we look ahead at 2023’s slate of releases, woven sneakers are one trend that looks to be forming quickly. In March, two sacai x Nike Waffle Woven colorways popped up. Following this, Union LA’s latest link-up with Jordan Brand — featuring input from Bephies Beauty Supply — sees a woven version of the Air Jordan 1 High enter the mix. Now, the Air Footscape Woven — a mash-up of the Air Footscape and Air Woven that first hit shelves in the ’00s — is gearing up for its return.Last spotted on shelves in 2018, a new “Black/Smoke Grey” pair has been prepared. Its upper is dressed with a black faux fur with its signature weave appearing in “Smoke Grey” from the toe to the heel. Its typical asymmetrical lacing system is also included with matching grey laces that pairs with the embroidered tongue and heel branding. Supporting the shoe, a white midsole rests atop a “Smoke Grey” rubber outsole.Hang tight as release details for this “Black/Smoke Grey” colorway of Nike’s Air Footscape Woven have not yet been disclosed. Look for it to land on shelves in women’s sizing via Nike and select retailers in the coming months at a price of $150 USD.Looking for more news in the footwear space? We’ve got you covered. Air Jordan 1 KO Low “Shadow” and “Kentucky” Set to Release
It’s been 38 years since the original Air Jordan 1 and its canvas-covered KO version first hit shelves. Having broken down the KO’s history a couple years ago, a new chapter of its story has been introduced in 2023 — the Air Jordan 1 KO Low. Unseen samples of the low-top iteration have been toyed with, however, it only saw a retail release for the first time this year courtesy of Union LA. Now, Jordan Brand looks to capitalize on its success by bringing classic colorways to the shoe.First to hit shelves following the collaboration are “Shadow” and “Kentucky” looks. The former sees its canvas upper appear with a mostly-black presentation that utilizes a “Medium Grey” at its Swooshes, heel tab, laces, tongue branding, toe box and outsole. As for the “Kentucky” pair, a white canvas base is joined by a blue that nods to the University of Kentucky at its overlays, Swooshes, heel tab and outsole.Looking to pick up either the Air Jordan 1 KO Low “Shadow” or “Kentucky?” Select retailers such as Sneaker Politics are scheduled to drop both sneakers on May 1 at a price of $120 USD. Enjoy a detailed look at both colorways above and stay tuned for news regarding a potential release via Nike.
