adidas Outfits the NMD S1 in “Light Solid Grey”

Splashing onto the scene in 2022, the adidas NMD S1 was quick to make its presence known. For the Originals team, it played a crucial role in carrying out its non-YEEZY drop events — landing in collaborations and being reworked into a boot-adjacent silhouette for Pharrell Williams. Following this, adidas kept its momentum going with the introduction of Pharrell’s MAHBS version and a Fusion Skin-equipped iteration that nods to football. In its latest presentation, the NMD S1 appears in a colorway titled “Light Solid Grey.” However, this is far from a look for cloudy days as “Clear Sky” detailing enlivens its sole unit. The shoe’s typical knit upper makes a return in the aforementioned grey while its oversized sole unit sees its full-length BOOST midsole encased in a semi-translucent blue. Its TPU plugs utilize blue and a light green while the light blue rubber outsole revisits the repeating Trefoil pattern. The adidas NMD S1 “Light Solid Grey” has already popped up via several regional adidas stores, however, it does not have a scheduled release date in the US. Look for it to arrive stateside in the coming weeks via the Three Stripes and select retailers at a price of $200 USD.Looking for more headlines in the world of footwear? We’ve got you covered. BAPE has reconnected with adidas to celebrate the Forum Low’s 30th anniversary by dressing it in two camouflage-covered colorways.

Y2K Vibes Are Expressed Through the New Nike Runtekk Model

If there’s one thing to note about Nike, it’s the fact that the brand’s extensive team of designers isn’t afraid to get experimental when it comes to bringing new silhouettes to life. And this year, the women’s lifestyle running category will be beefed up with a plethora of new models, one being this Y2K-inspired Nike Runtekk which has just been unveiled by way of official imagery.Right away, you can notice the similarities that the upper build has in comparison to the Nike Zoom Vomero +5 — one of the Swoosh’s most popular models in the market right now. Uppers are styled with a breathable mesh and are accompanied by cages that hug the quarter panels as well as webbed overlays that rest on the toe boxes. However, the sole piece is significantly different than the Vomero and allows the silhouette to stand on its own. It’s essentially split into two parts that come separated at the middle by a fin-shaped mold while the heel section is supported by a thicker foam piece. Furthermore, the rear is held in place by its thin cup for extra dimension and support.Detailed shots of the pair’s “Summit White/Metallic Silver colorway can be viewed above and you can likely see Nike and select retailers launching these in the coming weeks for $110 USD.In other news, a Nike Dunk Low Next Nature “Floral Tapestry” colorway has been revealed.
