Nike’s Air Max Plus 3 silhouette has surfaced once again this year in a stealthy “Black/Volt” makeup. The silhouette, which debuted first in 1990, first re-emerged in its latest variation in 2019.The upcoming pairs feature a mesh and suede base paired with glossy TPU accents which dash across the silhouette. Black hard-touch panels are fixed onto the toe cap and textured heel counter while “Volt” hues appear on the side swooshes, leather tongue tab, and heel alongside Tuned Air logos. After referencing the classic “Silver Bullet” colorway and digging into the ACG archive for inspiration, the Nike Air Max 90 now returns in a special “Pistachio Green” colorway dedicated to the country of Australia.The upcoming pairs feature a white leather base with silver leather overlay panels. “Gum-tree green and wattle-gold” is typically worn by Australia’s sports teams, including its national cricket team and Olympic team, and we see similar hues used as accent colors for this special-edition AM90. The heel banner, lateral cutouts, and eyestays notably appear in a semi-translucent rubber finish while the tongue tabs and insoles feature “AU” branding. Additional details include gold metallic lace dubraes and sun Swoosh insignias along the lateral heel counter. Following a summit white and bright cactus colorway, Nike Basketball will complement the Cosmic Unity 3 with a vibrant new iteration dubbed “As One We Win”. Unlike the previous two kicks, the latest entry boasts a clashing of colors. Namely, the sneaker is dressed in a melange of black, brilliant orange and sail, as well as pink spell, tropical twist and footwear grey. The shoe itself is built with sustainability in mind, featuring a combination of recyclable and lightweight materials, along with a cloud-like cushioning and a Flymesh midfoot and Flyknit collar. Additional highlights include a Crater sole, full-length Zoom Stroble, the Nike pinwheel logo, along with an embroidered “As One We Win” messaging on the upper.
