Suicoke is capitalizing on the clogs, mules and sandals movement by churning out a bevy of launches this season that fall under its inline and collaborative categories. The latter has seen team-ups with the likes of Lanvin and TOGA in recent memory, and now it’s welcoming a brand new footwear initiative with Mastermind.This isn’t the first occasion that these two Japanese imprints have worked together. We’ve seen them consistently partner up on silhouettes like the KAW Sandals as well as the Espadrilles, and now they’re introducing a two-pronged pack that’s centered around the MOTO-RUN. Pulling inspiration from Suicoke’s signature MOTO design, these kicks are designed with an open toe, a front touch-strap fastening, an open back and a rubber sole. Mastermind stitches in its skull logo in oversized fashion on the strap while Suicoke banners rest on the footbeds. One of Jordan Brand’s annual traditions in the summer is to celebrate its Quai54 streetball tournament in Paris. This year, the Hammadoun Sidibé and Thibaut de Longeville-founded event celebrates its 20th anniversary, and so the brand is going to commemorate the occasion with a special footwear collection. A member of this year’s launch is the Air Jordan 2 Low “Quai 54” installment, and it’s been officially unveiled.In a similar fashion to its Air Jordan 1 Low counterpart, this offering comes prepared with Pan-African-inspired accents. A majority of the base layer is styled with premium white leather and complemented by bold red piping and a two-toned lower heel counter. A yellow tab is positioned in the center of the quarter panel that is devised with yellow backdrops as well as Jumpman and Quai 54 branding. In addition, geometric patterns rest across the insoles and hangtags that spell-out “20 Years in the Game” come packaged with the kicks.At the time of writing, no release date has been announced, but stay locked in for updates as we arrive closer tournament that’s set to land on July 1 and 2, 2023.Looking for other news? After joining forces on the ADIMATIC, NEIGHBORHOOD and adidas come together once again for two special takes on the NMD S1 which include”N KNIT” and “N BOOT” iterations.The low-cut NMD_S1 N KNIT sneakers are found in classic Primeknit uppers with wraparound zigzag stitching and speckles along the heel section. The pairs’ signature TPU plugs on the midsoles feature co-branding and “Tokyo Est. 1994” text, and rounding out the look are Trefoil logo-shaped traction grips offering extra elevation.Alternatively, the NMD_S1 N BOOTS are dressed in black suede paneling. Design features include a side-zip closure and a magnetic buckle system incorporating zigzag stitching along the nylon straps.
