Emerging designer Luca Magliano has been making his mark at Milan Fashion Week, as season after season Magliano delivers eerie, poetic, and simply moving showcases of manipulated menswear inspired by military workwear and sartorial cues. Now, Magliano Spring/Summer 2023 is in full swing, following up on its “Surplus” campaign and jewelry line with its first sneaker, the Elastic Epidus Sneaker.In keeping with the Magliano aesthetic, the sneakers adopt a classic runner silhouette before being given a full distressed and re-made look. For example, the pair is served in white, but sees its calf leather and suede panels dirtied, scuffed, and creased like a well-worn pair of shoes.From there, Magliano applies polyamide elastic to the lateral mid-panel, lateral front-quarter, vamp, and tongue in a haphazard manner, fraying and pulling at the seams and edges to create a disheveled look. Stitching is busy and messy, only elevating the lived-in approach, while signature branding on the tongue and heel echo this authentically relaxed way of dressing, it too slouchy and unfussy.Rounding out the pair is the black outsole, which is thin and equally dirty to give the shoe a complete vintage finish. Following its first collaborative drop, Dover Street Market Paris’ Sky High Farm Workwear has united with Converse to launch the third colorway of its Chuck 70 model. The duo first collaborated in the summer of 2022 and dropped a loving Chuck 70 with a black base and Sky High Farm graphics across the throats, while the third colorway arrived in baby blue. For part three, the partnership returns with a classic white palette. The international retailer exclusively delivers the pair, featuring clean white textile uppers and Sky High Farm’s signature Strawberry-Moon logo embraced on the laterals. Quirky “FEED THE PEOPLE, FOOD is POWER” text surrounds Converse’s grinning star patch on the interior-facing panels. Finally, star-studded laces, co-branded insoles, and staple rubber outsoles with red and blue accents complete the design. Breanna Stewart made a blockbuster move this offseason and signed with the New York Liberty to team up alongside WNBA stars Jonquel Jones and Sabrina Ionescu. And just in time for the new season, she’s decided to call our attention back to his sneaker line with PUMA to announce her newest signature silhouette: the Stewie 2.The overall shape of the model isn’t too dissimilar from its predecessor, but it does carry subtle design modifications that allow it to stand on its own. Uppers are styled with a breathable mesh, and synthetic abstract synthetic overlays that make up the PUMA logo and stand out across the quarter panels and toe tips. PUMA designers incorporate a concept that’s inspired by the elements of earth, wind and fire to represent Stewart’s ability to be a force of nature on and off the hardwood. Her debut colorway is titled “Ruby” as a nod to her daughter and it represents the grounding strength of motherhood. The all-red, court-ready kicks feature a sculptural wraparound heel with fiery flame details and Ruby’s birthday on the side.Looking to cop?
