YG’s Block Runner Returns With White Uppers and Green Flames

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen YG make any noise in the footwear sphere, but that’s probably because he’s been putting more of his attention towards crafting new apparel pieces for his 4Hunnid line. However, just before April 2023 rolls its credits, the Bompton rapper has just announced a brand new white and green colorway of his own 4Hunnid Block Runner silhouette. The Nike Cortez look-a-like returns to the frontlines this season with premium leather uppers that are dominated by a white hue and complemented by bright green accents across the fiery logos that adorn the side panels as well as the “Flame” branding that rests on the tongue banners. Elsewhere up top, the laces are left with a colorless execution while the I GOT ISSUES artist’s 4Hunnid label moniker comes debossed into the back. Down below, the midsoles come backdropped in white and host a red stripe that rounds off its three-toned palette and subtly nods to the forthcoming Cinco de Mayo celebrations. If you fancy this colorway and want to add them to your rotation, you can find them available now via the 4Hunnid web store for $200 USD.In case you missed, Hypebeast rounded up the best footwear options that you can rock at music festivals.

New Balance Shows Love to FC Tokyo With This 574 Colorway

Throughout spring 2023, New Balance has been generating a substantial amount of noise in the footwear sphere thanks to its avalanche of collaborations with the like of Aimé Leon Dore, Joe Freshgoods, Junya Watanabe and more. And as the season rolls along, the Boston sportswear label is now reverting our attention back to its inline category to reveal one of its latest football-inspired makeups: the New Balance 574 “FC Tokyo” colorway.Inspired by the professional Japan soccer club, the kicks are predominantly done up with brighter neutrals so that its team-inspired accents can do most of the heavy lifting. Crisp white leather makes up the base layer’s toe boxes, side panels, heels and “N” logos, the latter of which are accompanied with lighter gray borders. Accents that reference the J1 League team’s kits are dispersed to each side in mismatching fashion as they land on the “Tokyo” hits situated along the lateral heels, laces and lower heel molds. These same colors arrive in striped fashion across the tongue banners and faded heel graphics that are slightly faded in tint. Furthermore, FC Tokyo team emblem charms come paired with the kicks.New Balance Japan is dropping these on April 29 for ¥16,500 (approx. $121 USD).For all things related to upcoming New Balance news, follow along here.
