First Look at the Nike Mac Attack OG Retro Release
Over the course of 2023 we’re going to see Nike bring back a profusion of classic silhouettes and colorways from the vault. And amongst the most anticipated is the Nike Mac Attack OG — the signature silhouette associated with tennis legend John McEnroe that originally debuted in 1984.The comeback for this iteration marks the first time that the kicks have ever seen a retro release. High-profile figures under the Nike family such as LeBron James and Travis Scott were spotted rocking vintage pairs back in 2021, which essentially shot them back into the sneaker spotlight and potentially sparked the Swoosh team to cook up a retro.Rumored to touch down during Summer 2023, the Mac Attack OG will be fashioned with its original design cues. Its upper build is formed with mesh underlays and smooth leather overlays, both of which are treated with a lighter gray hue. Navy accents then infiltrate the Swooshes, mesh toe boxes as well as the leather collars and lower heels. Tongues are devised with black and blue checkerboard banners and come stamped with a bold red Nike Sportswear logo.Enjoy a first look at the pair in the gallery above and expect Nike and other retailers to announce official release information in the coming months.
