With the annual NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament kicking off this week, Reebok takes it back to the same time three decades when Allen Iverson was making noise as a Georgetown Hoya, introducing a new “Georgetown” colorway of Reebok’s classic Answer DMX basketball shoes.The classic silhouette was co-created and worn by Iverson durng his rookie season the 76ers and is known as the crown jewel of his sneaker line, known for both its style and performance. Upcoming pairs are found in a mix of “Collegiate Navy” patent leather panels and smooth white leather with mesh netting on the heel tab and carbon fiber accents along the heel counter. A large I3 logo adorns the lateral heel counter and vector logos are scattered throughout. Rounding out the look are white midsoles featuring yellow oval pockets and semi-translucent treaded outsoles.The Reebok Answer DMX “Georgetown” will be available on March 25 via Reebok and select retailers for $160 USD.Elsewhere in footwear, New Balance 9060 surfaces in “Cherry Blossom” hues.

A new look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Palomino” previews a dark brown suede colorway for the classic shoe. Shared online months ahead of the anticipated release, the Palomino follows 2020’s Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in “Black Mocha,” which contrasted the deep brown details with crisp white side panels and a black logo.With this latest release, designers created the heel, collar and toe, along with the Nike swoosh, in a light brown suede. For the overall body of the OG, dark black leather fills in the toe guard and mid-foot panel, creating a subtle juxtaposition.The same brown shade of the suede reappears at the base of the sole, alongside a cream underfoot.The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Palomino” is expected to drop in September 2023, priced at $180 USD.In other sneaker news, Howard University unveiled the Air Jordan 1 Low OG PE.

In line with Howard University’s partnership with the Jordan Brand, the duo have come together to unveil an exclusive pair of Air Jordan 1 Lows. This pair follows the release of the most recent pair of Jordan Brand-sponsored PEs for UNC Football . The equally impressive and head-turning colorway for the Howard University Bison basketball team sees the Air Jordan 1 Low OG dressed in the school’s team colors. This pair of AJ1 Low OG PEs is constructed with white premium suede for the base of the upper, featuring red cracked overlays and navy safari-textured Swooshes on the lateral. Another mini navy Swoosh can be seen detailed on the lateral toe, while the Bison’s logo is stamped onto the insoles. The inner lining is quilted satin, while the Nike Air branding is on the tongues. The shoe sits atop a sail rubber midsole and light gum rubber outsole to round out the look.Since it is a player exclusive, don’t expect this pair of Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Howard University” PE to make it to retail.
