Jeremy Scott Tosses Oversized Bones on a Duo of adidas Campus 80s

There are no holds barred when it comes to Jeremy Scott and adidas collaborations. The duo tends to lean toward flamboyant and obscure color palettes and arrangements, and that’s exactly what they do with this latest capsule centered around the adidas Campus 80s.Halloween isn’t for several months, but this newest capsule certainly plays into the crazy costume motif. There are two colorways, one of which is fashioned with a “Core Black” and “Footwear White” palette while the other pair skews to the more vivid side of the spectrum and is suited up with a louder pink and black color scheme. The former is dressed with cleaner suede upper panels while the latter gets playful by ushering in all-over, two-toned zebra stripes. The craziest component of the kicks is the tongues as they have been updated with a trio of oversized bone attachments that naturally act as another set of Three Stripes branding. Additionally, the tongues have been spruced up with furry accessories to echo its playful theme and the insoles are stamped with co-branded hits.Look for these to release via adidas Japan on February 16 for ¥19,800 (approx. $151 USD) each.Elsewhere in footwear, adidas is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a duo of UltraBOOST 1.0 colorways.

bal, mita sneakers and ASICS Unveil a GEL-LYTE III Collaboration

ASICS’ wealth of inline offerings has appealed to the brand’s loyal customers, but its consistent stream of striking collaborative projects has lured in the streetwear crowd. In recent memory, the Japanese sportswear label has joined forces with the likes of Brain Dead and Awake NY for special collections, and now it’s tapped bal — formerly known as balanceweardesign — and mita sneakers to put together a winter-ready GEL-LYTE III collaboration.Functionality is the most important component of this upcoming collaboration. The three parties have equipped the classic lifestyle model with GORE-TEX uppers to keep your feet protected in wetter climate conditions, and this is marked by the weatherproof fabric’s moniker that is stamped on the lateral heels. Leaning into a darker palette, the sneakers are styled with “Gunmetal” tiger stripes and overlays along with solid black toe boxes and quilted quarter panels. The laces are designed with a striking pop of red and are locked down with an adjustable toggle system. Furthermore, the traditional split tongue construction has been modified to a zip specification to align with its technical sensibilities.Peep a closer look at the pair in the gallery above and note that these are slated to launch via mita for ¥19,800 (approx. $151 USD) on February 11.For other news, check out the upcoming UNAFFECTED x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 collection.
