Nike has introduced a vast array of footwear technologies since its inception, one of which has been FlyEase — a system that’s designed to help those with disabilities slip on their sneakers with ease. The laceless tech has appeared on a variety of silhouettes on the Nike and Jordan Brand sides, and for the latter, the Air Jordan 1 High FlyEase is one that has been modified with the assistive enhancement.In the midst of the NBA season, the model has resurfaced in a brand new colorway that nods to the Los Angeles Lakers. There are no official team logos or LeBron call-outs on this variation, but its palette clearly mimics that of the 17-time champions. A “Court Purple” hue is utilized in the highest quantity here as it drapes over the collar straps, overlays atop the front and heels as well as the FlyEase system that unhinges across the throat. Lakers-friendly yellow hits apply to the toe boxes, Swooshes, tongue Jumpman logos and collars while the quarters are splashed with bright white.At the time of writing, a hard launch date has yet to be announced, but Nike and other retailers will likely be dropping these in the upcoming weeks.For other news, check out a closer look at the Air Jordan 1 “White Cement.”

The holidays are just around the corner and this is usually an indication that the weather is going drastically shift to colder, wetter climate conditions. And to comfortably muscle through the days where precipitation is on the heavier side, protective footwear is key and that’s why Nike is beefing up its GORE-TEX catalog this season. One silhouette that has been included in this initiative is the Air Max 90 GORE-TEX, and shortly after a gray and blue iteration was uncovered, a brand new “Velvet Brown” makeup has now popped up on our radar.The upper half comes packaged with premium smooth leather, ripstop and nubuck materials. Its titular shade guides its overall presentation as it drops off on the toe boxes, overlays that start at the front and extend onto the quarter panels, laces and the collars. A “Diffused Taupe” covers the tongues and Swooshes while the mudguards are stylized with an earthy brown exterior. Bright blue accents are sprinkled to the liners and eye stays for subtle-yet-effective pops, and GORE-TEX logos are positioned on the tongues and side windows to indicate its weatherproof capabilities.Detailed imagery can be found in the gallery above and you can expect Nike to drop these during the Fall/Winter season.For other news, a multicolored Nike LeBron 20 iteration has emerged.
