Following an initial preview that surfaced in October, the Fly Streetwear x Nike SB Dunk Low has received an on-foot look. 2022 saw Nike SB dive into its usual collaborative mindset, tapping on multiple creatives and shops to set their touch on classic skate models. As 2023 approaches, sneak peeks of potential partnerships have begun to emerge, which will act as highlights to the forthcoming year. Rumored to release in Spring 2023, the Fly Streetwear x Nike SB Dunk Low is one to keep an eye on. On-foot images see the sneaker in an active light, kicking things off with a smooth grey leather base that allows contrasting tones to shine. Shaggy “Game Royal” suede overlays run through the mudguards, lacing systems, ankle flaps, and heel counters. Vibrant lime green rear tabs boast Nike branding, while exterior-facing sail medial Swooshes see a feather-like design and dangling tassels for an ornamented look. The interior branding is displayed in its original form, while thick-cut rope laces resemble braided suspension cords seen on tassel heads. Co-branded motifs hit the tongue labels, as the left features Nike SB insignia, and the right is marked with its collaborator’s logo. Yellowed midsoles and grey bottoms round out the design. adidas has just presented a new iteration of its HYPERTURF sneaker and it is now coming in an “Almost Yellow/Clear Blue/Shadow Olive” colorway.Recently, the Three Stripe worked with Sean Wotherspoon on the SUPERTURF ADVENTURE; the collaboration split the opinions of sneakerheads, however, the silhouette welcomed a flurry of collaborations — such as the fuelled-up Hot Wheels link-up — and an assemblage of general release colorways. And while this new HYPERTURF silhouette is a different sneaker to Sean Wotherspoon’s, it takes a variety of inspiration with its combination of colors and panel detailing.The HYPERTURF shoe is made in part with recycled content — all of which is generated from production wastes such as cutting scraps, and post-consumer household waste. For the design, the sneaker combines fabrications of ripstop, nubuck, suede, and mesh; all of which come together on the durable upper. Following the release of a similarly-toned Air Max 95 iteration earlier this year, Nike now readies its classic Air Max 1 runners in “Ironstone.” The upcoming pairs continue to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the iconic Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette, arriving in clean white perforated mesh and light “Sail” suede panels.The definitive “Ironstone” hues are strewn across the side Swooshes, heel embroidery, and upper eyelets while subtle neon hits decorate the insoles and special tongue tab patches which feature the text: “Nike Air consists of a special gas, pressurized inside a durable, flexible, urethane skin.
