JJJJound Teases Yet Another New Balance 990v3 Collaboration

Montreal-based JJJJound has once again teamed up with New Balance for yet another release to round out 2022. The studio is building on its highly-coveted collaborative model, reuniting to drop another sleek 990v3 iteration following, its “Olive” and “Brown/Black” offering from earlier this year. In 2021, JJJJound and New Balance also teamed up for the popular release of the 990v4 in “Black/Navy”.Expanding its 990v3 repertoire, the Canadian label took to Instagram to tease a new colorway arriving before the end of the year, this time taking it back to a simple brown hue. This offering sees the JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 come dressed in a mix of brown and olive tones. The shoe’s mesh and suede makeup appear to be dyed in a deep shade of brown, while darker trims highlight the overlays and the matching “N” logo that appears to arrive in a dark olive tone. The tongues appear to be detailed in silver metallic while the laces are emphasized in white, as is the outsole to round out the design.Take a look below at the teaser post of the upcoming shoe. There is no official release date just yet, but the caption indicates that it will be arriving this season. Brown Leather Covers the New Balance 2002R “Toast”

A busy year for New Balance, its myriad of collaborations has been paired with a carefully crafted arrangement of its staple silhouettes. Between key models such as the 550, 2002R and its 990 series, fans of the American sportswear brand have enjoyed another year of footwear offerings. Continuing to lead the charge, the 2002R has appeared in a new “Toast” look that sees the sneaker favor an entirely leather upper.Outfitted in “Toast/Tawny Birch/Apricot Illusion,” this colorway of the 2002R is reminiscent of Hender Scheme’s classic leather-crafted homage sneakers. Its upper ditches the typical textile base and replaces it with leather as buttery smooth panels are joined by suede overlays. Even the lining utilizes leather as “Vachetta Tan”-esque shades run throughout the shoe’s upper. To complete the look, the sole unit features N-ERGY cushioning. For those interested in grabbing a pair of the New Balance 2002R “Toast,” it is available now via select retailers such as Up There at a price of $164 USD. A worldwide release via New Balance and international retailers is expected to follow in the coming months. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Up There (@uptherestore)For more in the world of footwear, yet another New Balance 2002R “Protection Pack” has surfaced, this time in a grayscale color scheme.

Nike Crafts an Air Force 1 Low Colorway With Cloudy Uppers

Before 2022 rolls its credits next month, Nike is carving out room to unveil as many Air Force 1 colorways as it can to commemorate the iconic model’s 40th anniversary. A cornucopia of collaborative installments and inline iterations have been revealed in recent memory, and the latter batch is about to increase by one entry: the Air Force 1 Low “Clouds.” This isn’t necessarily the official name of the playful makeup, but its visual presentation mimics the aesthetic of the atmospheric element.Straying away from the silhouette’s traditional smooth leather build, the Swoosh design teams instead usher in a full suede base layer that’s crafted with a shaggy texture. The perforated toe boxes, quarter panels, collars and heel overlays are all treated with dusted sky blue and white patterns. They somewhat channel a similar look to the Nike SB Dunk High Pro “Clouds” from 2015, only with a less obvious all-over pattern. Sitting adjacent comes notes of gray suede which land on the tongue and heel branding as well as the side Swooshes. Down below, the midsole pieces and treading provide more neutral contrast thanks to their all-white skin.Nike hasn’t confirmed a hard launch date just yet, but expect to see various stockists carry these in the coming months. For other sneaker news, the Bred” Treatment has landed on the Air Jordan 1 High FlyEase.
