The A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Geo Forma Steps Into the Future

Converse has a lengthy history of outstanding partnerships, from Rick Owens DRKSHDW to Tyler, the Creator, and Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL*. As a key collaborator, the latter has recently worked on several models, including the Converse Chuck 70 and Aeon Active CX. Now, the duo is gearing up to debut the futuristic Geo Forma silhouette. Presented via an exclusive campaign video starring British rapper Lancey Foux, it sees the “Take Some More” singer step into an otherworldly universe while rocking contemporary gear and the chunky shoe on-feet. The multifaceted artist is presented in a fast-paced light, getting up close and personal with the all-new Geo Forma. The boot is an homage to the classic Chuck Taylor All-Star, pushing the model into a new realm with an avant-garde approach. Arriving in “Volt/Black Beauty” and “Lily White/Poppy Seed,” a hefty geometrical design is present throughout, showcasing Samuel Ross’ modern language through a functional outline fit for unpredictable exploration. The upper is constructed from protective materials ideal for rain or shine, outfitted with branded zippers that run across the throat replacing traditional laces. Elastic collars deliver a flawless fit, while “ACW – CNVS” adorns the rear pull tabs that allow for swift entry. Recycled sole units arrive with a sculptural identity, boasting diverse A-COLD-WALL* branding that completes the design. Take a closer look at the A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Geo Forma above. The model will be available for purchase via Converse, A-COLD-WALL* and select retailers globally on December 20. Elsewhere in footwear, Nicole McLaughlin and Reebok reunite for a New Take on the Club C Geo Mid.

Nike Presents All-New ISPA Mindbody

Nike has just presented its latest installment to its ISPA line — and the new sneaker looks like it has been molded from trash.Over recent times, the Swoosh has unveiled various ISPA designs that take on a more circular construction process that deviates away from using glue or cement. This results in Nike presenting shoes that can be easily separated at the end of their life spans, and thus, easily break down into scraps and reduce their carbon footprint. Now, following up on its recently-dropped ISPA Sense Flyknit “Neon Green,” Nike has unveiled the Mindbody, and it’s the all-new design from the footwear giant that takes the four ISPA pillars of Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, and Adapt to appear to be a model that’s the result of years of wandering. The colorway is a collision of various shades of brown and the latter gives the upper, sole, and fixtures an aged look, one that doesn’t appear to be fresh off the shelf. Additionally, this is further emphasized by the shoe’s construction, as the pieces are welded together with an up-cycled appearance. Furthermore, the sneaker is constructed with a flyknit upper and is interlaced with laces that resembled a wired aesthetic. A chunky rubber outsole is also included with an unevenly-detailed platform. You can take a closer look at the new Nike ISPA Mindbody above and it will be available on the official Nike website in the coming weeks. In other news, take a look at the Nike Dunk Low “Midnight Navy.”

Emerging British Sneaker Brand HYPHNT Embodies the Power of London for Its First-Ever Drop

Throughout the U.K., there’s an abundance of rappers that are launching new passion projects and businesses in an attempt to give back to their communities. For example, Wretch 32 recently became the Creative Director of 0207 Def Jam Records and launched his new CBD product company, while Fredo is also known for his high-level investment in the footwear retailer, Kick Game. Another musician following suit is Jason Black, aka J2K, as the former member of pioneering grime collective, Roll Deep, has just announced the launch of his new footwear label, HYPHNT.J2K is no stranger to the footwear industry; the rapper is also co-founder of the U.K.-based sneaker care brand, Crep Protect, and now his new footwear brand looks to meet the demands of “multi-hyphenated individuals in the same way that a sports brand would tailor athletes.”For HYPHNT’s first releases, the footwear imprint is presenting two new silhouettes in the form of the Road Runner and City Walker. Both shoes come in “Cappuccino,” “Mr. Black,” “Tan,” and “Dark Ice” colorways and the City Walker is packed with a heavy-set outsole that’s complemented by an assemblage of paneled detailing that runs across the lateral sides, toe cap, and over the laces. In and amongst the paneling, the brand’s customary “H” logo can be spotted on the lateral-mid panel with the latter all tied together with minimal dark stitching and jagged grooves on the leather sole.J2K’s Road Runner is a much sleeker and low-riding silhouette, crafted with similar paneled detailing to its corresponding City Walker design, However, the differences come in the form of the springier outsole, and more supported ankles. In line with the launch, Black’s label has also presented a new campaign video that involves a clean edit and takes us across various locations in London. The short film features narration from J2K and grime and rap pioneer Ghetts and reimagines the U.K.’s capital as a backdrop for performance. Speaking about the video, J2K said:”I’ve always imagined the city providing the backdrop as the arena for performance as opposed to just stadiums, gyms, and running tracks. The story of the individual who provides the cogs that keep the wheels turning needs to be told in style.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by HYPHNT (@hyphnt)You can take a closer look at the new HYPHNT sneakers above and they will be available on the brand’s official website from December 1 for £180 USD (approx. $220 USD).In other footwear news, take a look at Mizuno’s new “Fisherman Pack.”
