Following an early look at collaborative takes with COMME des GARÇONS, Nike’s classic Terminator High silhouette has now been revealed in its original collegiate “Georgetown” colorway. The Nike Terminator High was first released in 1985 as one of the original “Be True” sneakers and was last seen in suede back in 2014.While powerhouse college basketball programs including Kentucky, Michigan, UNLV, St. John’s, Syracuse, Villanova, and Iowa all received signature team Dunks ahead of the 1985 season, Georgetown University, which came off a National Championship, received special treatment with an exclusive pair of Nike Terminator Highs dressed in the school’s colors of gray/navy with the “Hoyas” moniker inscribed across the heel. Georgetown would later lose to Villanova in the 1985 NCAA Tournament finals, but the high-top sneakers have remained a rare icon nonetheless. The upcoming re-release is found in the same soft leather uppers and “Nike” heel banners as the original drop with angular contrast-stitching across the sides.Look for the Nike Terminator High “Georgetown” to arrive at Nike’s website and select retailers later this year. One of the original Nike Terminator (1985) pairs was recently sold at Sotheby’s for just under $2000 USD.Elsewhere in footwear, MAGIC STICK and Clarks reconnect for GORE-TEX Wallabee boots.

Since Nike acquired Converse in 2003, it has shared collaborators back and forth. Brands such as A-COLD-WALL* have gone from one to another and now SOULGOODS follows this precedent. Linking up with Converse in 2021, Beijing-based streetwear label SOULGOODS outfitted the Jack Purcell and Chuck 70 with some of its signature designs. Now, it looks like the imprint has teamed up with the Swoosh itself for a collaborative SB Dunk High.Arriving in a military green, the SOULGOODS x Nike SB Dunk High offers a tonal upper that is accented by black at the lacing system, laces and rubber outsole. The Swooshes look to be outlined in 3M while the lateral heel features SOULGOODS’ “Soul Tiger” design. An additional collaborative touch hits the olive green lining in black text which reads “FROM BEIJING TO THE WORLD”. This is SOULGOODS’ motto which was previously featured in its Converse collaboration across the tongues. Jordan Brand has a penchant of taking its classical color schemes and distributing them to various models in its catalog. One theme that is often pushed to the frontlines is the “Court Purple” vibe which has appeared on silhouettes like the Air Jordan 13, Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG and more, and now the Air Jordan 1 Mid is getting its chance to show off the signature palette.The two-toned presentation of these J’s would certainly align with Sacramento Kings fans. While there’s no official association with the Northern California NBA squad, it’s “Court Purple” Swooshes, overlays and ankle flaps match up perfectly with the team’s primary color. Sitting adjacent to that are blotches of black which show up on the perforated toe boxes, quarter panels ball-and-wings logos and collars. Down below, the sneakers are prepared with eggshell white midsole pieces while the outsoles are dyed in a matching “Court Purple” hue.No release info has been announced for these just yet, but it’s likely that Nike will be releasing these in the coming months.For other sneaker news, the Jordan Luka 1 “Quai 54” colorway has been unveiled.
