Crocs has had a busy year up to date. Following collaborations with the likes of MCM, Balenciaga, Awake NY, Carrots, and more, the global footwear company has now introduced its latest partners: retailer Stance and Worcester-born artist B. Thom. The trio has come together to deliver the message that art doesn’t live in a box. By covering the design in B. Thom’s high-contrast and hand-painted aesthetic, the color scheme is influenced by Thom’s grandmother’s quilts and the organic floral patterns they host. Keeping the collaboration tight-knitted towards a D.I.Y. mentality, the featured mosaic design also includes typography along with added hand-painted patterns that show Thom using instincts and initiative to create an off-the-cuff deception of the days back at his grandmother’s home. The hand-painted is kept design atop a black base, while the orange insole creates a contrasting look that takes the wearer from day to night. The collaboration also includes a unique Jibbitz charm that represents B. Thom’s approach to being able to make art anywhere. You can have a closer look at the Crocs x Stance x B. Thom collaboration above and it is available now on the official Stance website for $85 USD.In other footwear news, Brain Dead has channelled its traditional Japanese footwear for Vibram’s “FiveFingers” anniversary.

The Nike LeBron 3 “Barbershop” Receives a Release Date
As the Nike LeBron series gears up for the release of its 20th silhouette, the collaboration between the sportswear powerhouse and LeBron James has also given its previous models some love with the resurrection of the LeBron 3. Set to release in the next few weeks, the shoe is dressed in a “Barbershop” colorway as a nod to King James’ family and hometown.Set on full blacked-out uppers, supple leather overlays mix in with an array of striped textures from the toe box to the ankle collar. A fuzzy tongue peeps out from under roped laces fastened with metal eyelets held down by red, white, blue stripes inspired by barbershops’ signature poles. Continuing the barbershop theme are the insoles which some may wonder if the shoe title is related to the LA Lakers SF’s roundtable program that features guests from various backgrounds in a discussion of life. The outer heel features a tilted-up Swoosh while the inner toe is embroidered with “BBZ” — representing his children Bronny (B), Bryce (B) and Zhuri (Z). Akron’s “330” area code can be found on the medial while the midsole and outsole follow the stark black theme with a sliver of silver sandwiched in the middle.Mark your calendars for the Nike LeBron 3 “Barbershop” slated to drop on July 13 at select retailers and Nike’s website for $185 USD.For more footwear-related news, take an on-foot look at the Neckface x Nike SB Dunk Low.
On Reworks Its CloudTec for Cloudeasy Silhouette
Swiss footwear label On has extended its All Day category with the launch of its Cloudeasy silhouette. Designed for wearing for any use — rather than being performance-focused — the Cloudeasy also incorporates a re-engineering of the label’s signature CloudTec technology.Other features of the sneaker include its full knit upper, which reduces waste while also making the shoe easier to pack, as well as inclusion of CloudTec in Zero Gravity Foam and a half Speedboard. This particular innovation allows for further reduced waste and increased cushioning under foot. The Speedboard used is created using TPU and an injection process, which means that production off-cuts and waste are limited.Take a look at the Cloudeasy in the gallery above. The shoe is available now via the On web store and through select stockists. In other footwear news, Craig Green recently discussed his latest collaboration with adidas.
