Converse Drops Two Paint-Splattered Takes on the Chuck 70 Hi

Converse’s Archive program revives prints, patterns and more from the brand’s extensive vault, bringing these adornments into the modern day to provide retro flair. The latest piece of the Converse archives to return? A Jackson Pollock-esque paint splatter graphic, spread across black and egret iterations of the Chuck 70 Hi.The black pair is adorned with pink, blue and yellow paint streaks while the egret pair looks to a mixture of blue, black and white. These splashes, dots and lines leave no part of the upper untouched, running from the heel right up to each pair’s signature rubber toe cap. They even descend onto the midsole for good measure, driving home their abstract nature. Though the hues used may be different, each of these high-cut Chuck 70s features a leather All-Star badge on its medial collar and silver eyelets. Finishing touches are provided by foxing on each midsole — black on the black pair, red and blue on the egret pair — a black heel badge and a classic brown rubber outsole. Both of these paint-splattered Chuck 70 His are available now on the Converse webstore, priced at $90 USD. Elsewhere in the greater world of Nike, Inc., grime superstar Skepta has taken to his Instagram Stories to unveil the latest colorway of his upcoming Air Max Tailwind V collaboration.

Reebok’s Instapump Fury Gets Treated With Electrifying “Digital Glow” and “True Grey 7” Palettes

In the early months of the year, Reebok has shown off its Instapump Fury mainstay in a handful of new in-line colorways as well as collaborative ones with the likes of adidas Originals and JUUN.J. As Spring approaches the slip-on silhouette is being welcomed to the frontlines once more for two extra vibrant takes including the “Digital Glow” and the “True Grey 7”.Arguably the more eye-catching option of the two is the “Digital Glow” pair. The side paneling bears vivd gradience and allows a “Hyper Purple” hue to kick things off towards the front before it transitions to an electric blue hue that wraps a majority of the real estate. Seated next door is a stark black hue which makes up the mesh-infused throat and the toe boxes, as well as more purple that is worked into the heels. Small notes of pink also poke out through the mid-foot and the vector branding that is stitched onto the throat and heels.Moving to its launch partner, the “True Grey 7” also makes use of the gradient effect, but instead chooses sunset-like hues of purple, pink and “Alert Yellow” for styling. Save for the white pump button that sits near the top of the throat, the rest of its mesh underlays are dripped in its titular shading, while more yellow accents don the front. Midsoles and outsoles continue the neutral tone-dominant motif by color-blocking between gray and black. If interested, both of these Instapump Fury makeups will be dropping via Reebok on April 2nd for $160 USD each. For other news, another Maison Margiela x Reebok Club C collaboration has been unveiled.
