Following another special edition take from Kiko Kostadinov, ASICS’ industrial-looking GEL-Nimbus 9 distance runner now falls in the hands of Takashi Kumagai’s rising streetwear label WIND AND SEA. While Kostadinov opted for a futuristic spin featuring “galaxy matter” details, WIND AND SEA goes the more classic route incorporating clean retro tones. Two fall-friendly colorways are available as part of the collaboration featuring blue-tinted “Cream/Pure Silver” and “White/Pure Silver” options. The GEL-NIMBUS 9 was named after its comfy step that’s said to feel like walking on a cloud. To create the effect, bottoms are supported via two-part GEL midsoles connected via a torsion arch. Breathable mesh uppers are supported via patent leather panels in silver and coffee tones with grated windows secured on the heel counter and mudguard. GEL-NIMBUS 9 banners are featured on the tongue tabs while “SEA” branding is imprinted across the heel. The pairs are now available in Asia via ASICS and will arrive in North America and Europe October 22 for $165 USD.Elsewhere in footwear, Nike returns With another Patriots-themed Air Force 1 Flyknit dedicated to Robert Kraft.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
