Watch How Salehe Bembury’s Versace Trigreca Sneaker Is Made

Salehe Bembury’s Versace Trigreca sneaker has been a staple of the Donatella Versace-helmed House since Fall/Winter 2020, and now as part of the sneaker’s Spring/Summer 2023 update, the brand has unveiled a conceptual “behind the scenes”-style video of how the sneaker is made.It spotlights the new SS23 pair, arriving in a predominantly white design with touches of blue decorating the branded leather tongue tag and very top eyelet, and black cladding the signature sole unit and heel branding. The shoe is packed with House iconography, giving the pair its name thanks to the use of the Versace Greca motif appearing on the toe stripes, midsoles, and outsoles. Elsewhere, the Medusa symbol sinks into the sole, while Versace’s Milanese HQ — Via Gesù, 12 — sees its coordinates printed on the uppers in gold-toned letters and numbers. The proprietary Greca Cushioning System, designed especially for Versace by Bembury, underpins the more muted SS23 iteration, but ultimately adds that unavoidable Versace flair. In the video, we see technical workings of how the sole unit is made and painted by a robot, before the very same robot wears the sneaker like a shoe last.Take a look at the video above, and find more Trigreca goodness on Versace’s website.Elsewhere, Mr. Bailey has teased another conceptual adidas collaboration.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
